A 7kW charger is typically $1,000 to $2,300 installed. If your switchboard needs an upgrade, allow another $800 to $2,200. We give a fixed price after a quick check.
Can I charge my EV from solar?
Yes. A solar-aware charger adjusts its charging speed to match your surplus solar, so you use your own power instead of exporting it. It works best if the car is home during the day.
Do I need three phase power?
No. Most homes are well served by a 7kW single phase charger, which comfortably fills most cars overnight. Three phase allows 11kW to 22kW if your home already has it.
Do you install EV chargers in South East Queensland units and townhouses?
Often, yes, subject to body corporate approval and the building supply. We can provide the technical details your body corporate will ask for.
