EV charger installation in Ascot
A 7kW home charger adds around 40km of range an hour, and with solar it can cost close to nothing.
EV chargers for Ascot, planned around your home
A standard power point adds only about 10km of range an hour. A dedicated 7kW wall charger is around four times faster, and a solar-aware charger can soak up your surplus solar during the day instead of exporting it for a few cents.
We check your switchboard and main supply, recommend single or three phase charging, and install the charger neatly where your car actually parks. In Ascot we can also pair the charger with new solar or a battery so it all works together.
Brisbane's northside ranges from the grand old homes of Ascot, Hamilton and Clayfield to family suburbs like Aspley, Chermside and Bracken Ridge and the bayside villages of Sandgate and Shorncliffe. From Ascot to nearby Hamilton and Hendra, we quote every job in person so the price you sign is the price you pay.
- Many Ascot homes are character Queenslanders and older workers cottages with corrugated iron roofs. Tin roofs are quick to mount on, and we keep conduit runs neat and out of sight on heritage-style facades.

Getting to know Ascot
Turrbal people called this area Yowoggerra. Convicts cleared land in the 1830s, James Sutherland bought a large holding in 1855, and Eagle Farm Racecourse opened in 1863. The name was a cheeky borrowing from England's famous racecourse. Trains reached the track in 1882 and trams in 1899. During World War II, US forces camped at the racecourse and the Central Bureau worked from the suburb.
Large Queenslanders on Ascot's hillsides often run big air conditioning loads, so pairing a generous rooftop array with a battery can shift more of that evening cooling onto stored solar.

Can I charge my EV from solar?
Yes. A solar-aware charger adjusts its charging speed to match your surplus solar, so you use your own power instead of exporting it. It works best if the car is home during the day.
