EV charger installation in Fairfield
A 7kW home charger adds around 40km of range an hour, and with solar it can cost close to nothing.
EV chargers for Fairfield, planned around your home
A standard power point adds only about 10km of range an hour. A dedicated 7kW wall charger is around four times faster, and a solar-aware charger can soak up your surplus solar during the day instead of exporting it for a few cents.
We check your switchboard and main supply, recommend single or three phase charging, and install the charger neatly where your car actually parks. In Fairfield we can also pair the charger with new solar or a battery so it all works together.
Brisbane's southside covers older post-war suburbs like Annerley, Moorooka and Holland Park, the busy family areas around Sunnybank, Mansfield and Carindale, and newer pockets at Pallara and Forest Lake. From Fairfield to nearby Annerley and Yeronga, we quote every job in person so the price you sign is the price you pay.
- Low-lying pockets of Fairfield sit inside council flood mapping. Where it matters we mount inverters and batteries above the flood planning level and keep isolators easy to reach.
- Many Fairfield homes are character Queenslanders and older workers cottages with corrugated iron roofs. Tin roofs are quick to mount on, and we keep conduit runs neat and out of sight on heritage-style facades.

Getting to know Fairfield
Brothers Samuel and George Grimes arrived in Queensland in 1849 and, in 1857, set up an arrowroot farm they called Fairfield, which lent the suburb its name. A Baptist church opened on Christmas Eve 1865 and moved to Annerley in 1935. The 28-lot Railside Estate was carved up in 1914, and a library opened in 1988.
Riverside homes here flooded in 1974 and 2011, so placing inverters and batteries high on a wall makes sense, and units in the area may need body corporate sign-off for rooftop panels.

Still unsure? Talk to us directly. You will speak with the people who do the work.
Call 0449 942 735How much does it cost to install an EV charger?
A 7kW charger is typically $1,000 to $2,300 installed. If your switchboard needs an upgrade, allow another $800 to $2,200. We give a fixed price after a quick check.
Can I charge my EV from solar?
Yes. A solar-aware charger adjusts its charging speed to match your surplus solar, so you use your own power instead of exporting it. It works best if the car is home during the day.
Do I need three phase power?
