EV charger installation in Gilston
A 7kW home charger adds around 40km of range an hour, and with solar it can cost close to nothing.
Why Gilston homes choose RS Energy for ev chargers
A standard power point adds only about 10km of range an hour. A dedicated 7kW wall charger is around four times faster, and a solar-aware charger can soak up your surplus solar during the day instead of exporting it for a few cents.
We check your switchboard and main supply, recommend single or three phase charging, and install the charger neatly where your car actually parks. In Gilston we can also pair the charger with new solar or a battery so it all works together.
The central Gold Coast takes in the high-rise strip from Broadbeach to Main Beach, the canal homes of Bundall, Benowa and Isle of Capri, and family suburbs like Ashmore, Nerang and Carrara. Our ev chargers work in Gilston also covers neighbouring Highland Park, Advancetown and Worongary, all within about 3km.

Gilston: a local snapshot
Dairy cattle and timber got Gilston started in the 1860s. A storekeeper named Bryant named it after Gilston in England, and the school followed the name change, opening as Nerang Upper Provisional School in 1881 before becoming Gilston State School in 1908. The district had a telephone office from March 1923, and the public hall on Gilston Road opened on 16 June 1933.
Rural residential blocks in Gilston often have sheds and outbuildings with good roof space, so splitting panels across house and shed, or adding a ground mount, can give a bigger system without crowding the main roof.

Call 0449 942 735How much does it cost to install an EV charger?
A 7kW charger is typically $1,000 to $2,300 installed. If your switchboard needs an upgrade, allow another $800 to $2,200. We give a fixed price after a quick check.
Can I charge my EV from solar?
Yes. A solar-aware charger adjusts its charging speed to match your surplus solar, so you use your own power instead of exporting it. It works best if the car is home during the day.
