EV chargers for Pinkenba, planned around your home

A standard power point adds only about 10km of range an hour. A dedicated 7kW wall charger is around four times faster, and a solar-aware charger can soak up your surplus solar during the day instead of exporting it for a few cents.

We check your switchboard and main supply, recommend single or three phase charging, and install the charger neatly where your car actually parks. In Pinkenba we can also pair the charger with new solar or a battery so it all works together.

Brisbane's northside ranges from the grand old homes of Ascot, Hamilton and Clayfield to family suburbs like Aspley, Chermside and Bracken Ridge and the bayside villages of Sandgate and Shorncliffe. From Pinkenba to nearby Hemmant and Murarrie, we quote every job in person so the price you sign is the price you pay.

Getting to know Pinkenba

Binkinba, a Turrubal place name said to mean a good spot for hunting land tortoise, became Pinkenba. A town was laid out for workers when meatworks opened in 1892, and the post office opened that year. A rail spur to the wharf came in 1902, and Qantas flying boats were based here in the 1930s. Bulwer Island was reclaimed in the 1960s, and the school closed in 2010.

Where the river meets Moreton Bay, salty air is a given, so homes and businesses here need corrosion-resistant mounting systems and coastal-rated components for long-term reliability.

How much does it cost to install an EV charger?

A 7kW charger is typically $1,000 to $2,300 installed. If your switchboard needs an upgrade, allow another $800 to $2,200. We give a fixed price after a quick check.

Can I charge my EV from solar?

Yes. A solar-aware charger adjusts its charging speed to match your surplus solar, so you use your own power instead of exporting it. It works best if the car is home during the day.

Do I need three phase power?
