Going solar in Pinkenba
Brisbane's northside ranges from the grand old homes of Ascot, Hamilton and Clayfield to family suburbs like Aspley, Chermside and Bracken Ridge and the bayside villages of Sandgate and Shorncliffe.
Brisbane covers everything from Queenslanders with tin roofs and tight inner-city lots to big brick homes in the southern and western suburbs. Every roof is different, which is why we measure and design each one on site.
Pinkenba is on the Energex network. Most homes can export up to 5kW per phase on a standard connection, and newer dynamic connections allow more. We size your inverter to get the most from those limits and lodge the Energex application for you.

Pinkenba: history and local area
Binkinba, a Turrubal place name said to mean a good spot for hunting land tortoise, became Pinkenba. A town was laid out for workers when meatworks opened in 1892, and the post office opened that year. A rail spur to the wharf came in 1902, and Qantas flying boats were based here in the 1930s. Bulwer Island was reclaimed in the 1960s, and the school closed in 2010.
A long, narrow strip on the northern bank of the Brisbane River mouth, with Brisbane Airport to the west and Moreton Bay to the north. Industry dominates, from fuel terminals to the Luggage Point resource recovery centre, with a small residential area at the old town centre. The war memorial, post office and a historical trail remember its working past.
Where the river meets Moreton Bay, salty air is a given, so homes and businesses here need corrosion-resistant mounting systems and coastal-rated components for long-term reliability.
