EV charger installation in Redland Bay
Charge your car overnight or straight from your solar. A neat, safe home charger installed by electricians who understand solar.
Why Redland Bay homes choose RS Energy for ev chargers
A standard power point adds only about 10km of range an hour. A dedicated 7kW wall charger is around four times faster, and a solar-aware charger can soak up your surplus solar during the day instead of exporting it for a few cents.
We check your switchboard and main supply, recommend single or three phase charging, and install the charger neatly where your car actually parks. In Redland Bay we can also pair the charger with new solar or a battery so it all works together.
The Redlands coast runs from Capalaba and Birkdale through Cleveland and Victoria Point to Redland Bay and the Southern Moreton Bay Islands, with plenty of larger blocks around Mount Cotton and Sheldon. Our ev chargers work in Redland Bay also covers neighbouring Carbrook, Victoria Point and Mount Cotton, all within about 7km.
- Being close to the water, Redland Bay gets salt-laden sea breezes. We use corrosion-resistant racking, stainless fixings and panels and inverters rated for coastal sites, and we design to the local wind loading.
- Newer homes in Redland Bay usually have clean, unshaded roofs and modern switchboards, which keeps installs quick. Estate covenants rarely restrict solar, but we check before we quote.

Redland Bay: a local snapshot
Settlers came in the 1860s and farming and fishing carried the place for nearly a century, with estates auctioned through the 1880s. A rail extension was surveyed in 1889 but never built. Flying boats operated from here between 1953 and 1971. Farms were steadily subdivided from mid-century and suburban streets had largely replaced them by about 2002. The Aboriginal name, Talwalpin, refers to a cottonwood tree.
Many houses sit on former farm land with wide, open roofs and few tall trees, which suits larger systems, though bayside streets near the ferry terminal still benefit from corrosion-resistant panel mounting.
