Solar batteries in Bahrs Scrub, with the rebate applied
Add a battery to new or existing solar in Bahrs Scrub, sized honestly to your evening usage, not the biggest box on the shelf.
Why Bahrs Scrub homes choose RS Energy for solar batteries
Feed-in tariffs have fallen to a few cents, while evening power still costs around 30 cents or more per kWh. A battery stores the solar you would otherwise sell cheaply and uses it after sunset, which is where the real savings now are for Bahrs Scrub households.
Queensland homes get the federal Cheaper Home Batteries discount, which takes roughly $250 per kWh off the first 14kWh at current certificate prices. Queensland has no separate state battery rebate open right now, and anyone telling you otherwise is out of date. Since 1 May 2026 the discount is tapered, so the first 14kWh gets the full rate and larger batteries get less per kWh. We will show you the sweet spot for your home.
Logan blends established suburbs such as Springwood, Shailer Park and Browns Plains with new communities at Yarrabilba, Park Ridge and Logan Reserve, plus acreage through Jimboomba, Greenbank and Munruben. Our solar batteries work in Bahrs Scrub also covers neighbouring Holmview, Windaroo and Waterford, all within about 3km.
- Plenty of Bahrs Scrub properties are on acreage, which opens up ground-mounted arrays, sheds and larger systems. Rural feeders also see more outages, so battery backup is popular here.
- Newer homes in Bahrs Scrub usually have clean, unshaded roofs and modern switchboards, which keeps installs quick. Estate covenants rarely restrict solar, but we check before we quote.

Bahrs Scrub: a local snapshot
Large, heavily vegetated hills shape Bahrs Scrub, with acreage properties scattered between them and Beaudesert-Beenleigh Road along the eastern side. Most new housing is in Brookhaven, a Frasers Property estate, with smaller subdivisions further east, and the area is planned for about 10,000 residents. Windaroo Valley State High School had 1,186 students in 2023 and runs a special education program.
Newer estate homes in Brookhaven suit a clean modern install, while older acreage houses among the hills may need a careful look at slope, aspect and tree shading before panels go up.

Solar batteries in Bahrs Scrub: questions
Still unsure? Talk to us directly. You will speak with the people who do the work.
Call 0449 942 735Is a home battery worth it in Bahrs Scrub?
For most households that export a lot of solar and use power in the evening, yes. With the federal discount, many batteries now pay back in roughly 6 to 9 years, and you get blackout protection as a bonus. We will run the numbers on your actual bills before you commit.
How much is the battery rebate?
Queensland homes get the federal Cheaper Home Batteries discount, which takes roughly $250 per kWh off the first 14kWh at current certificate prices. Queensland has no separate state battery rebate open right now, and anyone telling you otherwise is out of date. The certificate rate drops every six months from January 2027, so the discount is worth less the longer you wait.
Can you add a battery to my existing solar?
Usually, yes. Most systems can take an AC-coupled battery without touching your panels. If your inverter is old or failing, a hybrid inverter replacement can be the better long-term option. We will check on site.
Will a battery keep my power on in a blackout?
Only if it is installed with backup. Most batteries we install include backup for essential circuits, and some can back up the whole home. We will explain what will and will not run before you choose.
What about free midday power plans?
Retailers now offer free power in the middle of the day on some plans in South East Queensland. A battery can soak up that free window as well as your own solar, then run your home through the expensive evening peak.
