Solar panels in Bahrs Scrub, installed properly
A family solar company that measures your roof, explains the numbers and installs it right the first time.
Why Bahrs Scrub homes choose RS Energy for solar panels
Plenty of companies sell solar on price alone. We sell it on quality, because a system that is designed and installed well keeps paying you back for decades. Every Bahrs Scrub quote starts with a free measure of your roof.
A typical 6.6kW system in Bahrs Scrub makes about 27.7kWh a day on average across the year, while a 10kW system makes about 42kWh. Bahrs Scrub is on the Energex network. Most homes can export up to 5kW per phase on a standard connection, and newer dynamic connections allow more. We size your inverter to get the most from those limits and lodge the Energex application for you.
Logan blends established suburbs such as Springwood, Shailer Park and Browns Plains with new communities at Yarrabilba, Park Ridge and Logan Reserve, plus acreage through Jimboomba, Greenbank and Munruben. Our solar panels work in Bahrs Scrub also covers neighbouring Holmview, Windaroo and Waterford, all within about 3km.
- Plenty of Bahrs Scrub properties are on acreage, which opens up ground-mounted arrays, sheds and larger systems. Rural feeders also see more outages, so battery backup is popular here.
- Newer homes in Bahrs Scrub usually have clean, unshaded roofs and modern switchboards, which keeps installs quick. Estate covenants rarely restrict solar, but we check before we quote.

Bahrs Scrub: a local snapshot
German settlers Carl Wilhelm Bahr and his son Wilhelm gave the area its name, though early records called it Jimmybark Scrub, and the local hill was Bark Hill before becoming Bahrs Hill. The scrubby country stayed thinly settled for a long time. A state school ran from about 1919 until 1929, when too few pupils remained. Windaroo Valley State High School opened in 1994, and council rezoning has driven strong growth over the past decade.
Large, heavily vegetated hills shape Bahrs Scrub, with acreage properties scattered between them and Beaudesert-Beenleigh Road along the eastern side. Most new housing is in Brookhaven, a Frasers Property estate, with smaller subdivisions further east, and the area is planned for about 10,000 residents. Windaroo Valley State High School had 1,186 students in 2023 and runs a special education program.

Solar panels in Bahrs Scrub: questions
Still unsure? Talk to us directly. You will speak with the people who do the work.
Call 0449 942 735How much does solar cost in Bahrs Scrub?
Most Bahrs Scrub homes pay between $4,800 and $7,000 for a quality 6.6kW system and $7,400 to $11,000 for 10kW, after the federal rebate. We give you a fixed price after a free on-site measure, so there are no surprises on install day.
What size solar system do I need in Bahrs Scrub?
Look at your bill. Most families using 20 to 30kWh a day suit 6.6kW to 10kW. If you run pool pumps, ducted air or an EV, or plan to add a battery, 10kW to 13kW usually makes more sense. Energex export limits also shape the right inverter size.
Is solar still worth it with low feed-in tariffs?
Yes, if the system is sized for self-use. Every kWh you use from your panels saves you the full retail rate, which is far more than the few cents you get for exporting. Running dishwashers, pool pumps and hot water in the middle of the day makes a big difference, and a battery stretches it into the evening.
How long does installation take?
Most homes are done in a single day. We book the install once your network approval comes back, then arrange the meter change with your retailer.
Do you install solar on tile, tin and Klip-Lok roofs in Bahrs Scrub?
Yes. We install on concrete and terracotta tiles, corrugated iron, Colorbond and Klip-Lok, with tilt frames where a flat roof needs them.
Do you service Bahrs Scrub 4207 and nearby suburbs?
Yes. Bahrs Scrub is part of our Logan service area in the Logan City Council area, and we regularly work in Holmview, Windaroo, Waterford, Beenleigh. Call 0449 942 735 or request a quote online and we will reply within 24 hours.
