Solar batteries in Burleigh Heads, with the rebate applied
Add a battery to new or existing solar in Burleigh Heads, sized honestly to your evening usage, not the biggest box on the shelf.
Why Burleigh Heads homes choose RS Energy for solar batteries
Feed-in tariffs have fallen to a few cents, while evening power still costs around 30 cents or more per kWh. A battery stores the solar you would otherwise sell cheaply and uses it after sunset, which is where the real savings now are for Burleigh Heads households.
Queensland homes get the federal Cheaper Home Batteries discount, which takes roughly $250 per kWh off the first 14kWh at current certificate prices. Queensland has no separate state battery rebate open right now, and anyone telling you otherwise is out of date. Since 1 May 2026 the discount is tapered, so the first 14kWh gets the full rate and larger batteries get less per kWh. We will show you the sweet spot for your home.
The southern Gold Coast stretches from Coolangatta and the beaches of Palm Beach and Burleigh back to Robina, Mudgeeraba and the valleys of Currumbin and Tallebudgera, with everything from beachfront units to acreage. Our solar batteries work in Burleigh Heads also covers neighbouring Burleigh Waters, West Burleigh and Varsity Lakes, all within about 2km.
- Being close to the water, Burleigh Heads gets salt-laden sea breezes. We use corrosion-resistant racking, stainless fixings and panels and inverters rated for coastal sites, and we design to the local wind loading.

Burleigh Heads: a local snapshot
The 80-metre headland stands at the northern mouth of Tallebudgera Creek, covered by Burleigh Head National Park. James Street is the main shopping and cafe strip, with high-rise towers behind the beach and homes spreading inland along the creek. David Fleay Wildlife Park, Bill Godfrey Oval and the Old Burleigh Theatre Arcade are local fixtures, and about 10,600 people lived here in 2021.
Between beachfront high-rise, older homes along the creek and leafy streets near the national park, Burleigh roofs vary a lot, so shading from towers and trees needs checking before a system is designed.

Solar batteries in Burleigh Heads: questions
Still unsure? Talk to us directly. You will speak with the people who do the work.
Call 0449 942 735Is a home battery worth it in Burleigh Heads?
For most households that export a lot of solar and use power in the evening, yes. With the federal discount, many batteries now pay back in roughly 6 to 9 years, and you get blackout protection as a bonus. We will run the numbers on your actual bills before you commit.
How much is the battery rebate?
Queensland homes get the federal Cheaper Home Batteries discount, which takes roughly $250 per kWh off the first 14kWh at current certificate prices. Queensland has no separate state battery rebate open right now, and anyone telling you otherwise is out of date. The certificate rate drops every six months from January 2027, so the discount is worth less the longer you wait.
Can you add a battery to my existing solar?
Usually, yes. Most systems can take an AC-coupled battery without touching your panels. If your inverter is old or failing, a hybrid inverter replacement can be the better long-term option. We will check on site.
Will a battery keep my power on in a blackout?
Only if it is installed with backup. Most batteries we install include backup for essential circuits, and some can back up the whole home. We will explain what will and will not run before you choose.
What about free midday power plans?
Retailers now offer free power in the middle of the day on some plans in South East Queensland. A battery can soak up that free window as well as your own solar, then run your home through the expensive evening peak.
