Solar batteries in Dayboro, with the rebate applied
Use your own solar at night and keep essentials running in a blackout. The federal battery discount comes straight off your quote.
Solar Batteries Dayboro: local, honest, done right
Feed-in tariffs have fallen to a few cents, while evening power still costs around 30 cents or more per kWh. A battery stores the solar you would otherwise sell cheaply and uses it after sunset, which is where the real savings now are for Dayboro households.
Queensland homes get the federal Cheaper Home Batteries discount, which takes roughly $250 per kWh off the first 14kWh at current certificate prices. Queensland has no separate state battery rebate open right now, and anyone telling you otherwise is out of date. Since 1 May 2026 the discount is tapered, so the first 14kWh gets the full rate and larger batteries get less per kWh. We will show you the sweet spot for your home.
North Brisbane and Moreton Bay run from Albany Creek and Strathpine through North Lakes and Narangba to Caboolture and Bribie Island, taking in the Redcliffe Peninsula and acreage around Samford and Dayboro. We look after Dayboro and the surrounding suburbs of Ocean View, Greenstone and Wagtail Grove, so a free on-site measure in 4521 is easy to book.
- Plenty of Dayboro properties are on acreage, which opens up ground-mounted arrays, sheds and larger systems. Rural feeders also see more outages, so battery backup is popular here.

About Dayboro
The town sits on the North Pine River with Terrors Creek running through and the D'Aguilar Range rising to the north. Avocado and pineapple farms and dairy cattle fill the surrounding country. The old railway, closed beyond Ferny Grove in 1955, left bridges and cuttings behind. The rodeo and show, the monthly country markets and the Dayboro Day Festival, which draws over 20,000 visitors, keep the calendar full.
Dairy farms, plantations and acreage around town often run pumps and refrigeration through the day, so a larger roof or ground array can carry those loads, with a battery covering evenings in the house.

Solar batteries in Dayboro: questions
Still unsure? Talk to us directly. You will speak with the people who do the work.
Call 0449 942 735Is a home battery worth it in Dayboro?
For most households that export a lot of solar and use power in the evening, yes. With the federal discount, many batteries now pay back in roughly 6 to 9 years, and you get blackout protection as a bonus. We will run the numbers on your actual bills before you commit.
How much is the battery rebate?
Queensland homes get the federal Cheaper Home Batteries discount, which takes roughly $250 per kWh off the first 14kWh at current certificate prices. Queensland has no separate state battery rebate open right now, and anyone telling you otherwise is out of date. The certificate rate drops every six months from January 2027, so the discount is worth less the longer you wait.
Can you add a battery to my existing solar?
Usually, yes. Most systems can take an AC-coupled battery without touching your panels. If your inverter is old or failing, a hybrid inverter replacement can be the better long-term option. We will check on site.
Will a battery keep my power on in a blackout?
Only if it is installed with backup. Most batteries we install include backup for essential circuits, and some can back up the whole home. We will explain what will and will not run before you choose.
What about free midday power plans?
Retailers now offer free power in the middle of the day on some plans in South East Queensland. A battery can soak up that free window as well as your own solar, then run your home through the expensive evening peak.
