Commercial solar for Wongawallan businesses
We have delivered 60kW to 100kW systems for Aldi, BP, James Hardie and Telstra. Now we bring that experience to Wongawallan businesses.
Commercial Solar Wongawallan: local, honest, done right
Businesses use most of their power during the day, which is exactly when solar produces. That makes commercial solar one of the fastest paybacks in energy, often 3 to 5 years. RS Energy has delivered large-scale installs across Queensland for tier one clients, and we give Wongawallan businesses the same standard with a family company's attention.
We start with your interval data or bills, model your load profile, then design a system that maximises self-consumption within Energex connection rules. Since 1 October 2026 the upfront small-scale rebate (STCs) covers commercial systems up to 1MW, where it used to stop at 100kW. For mid-sized systems that can take a meaningful chunk off the upfront cost, and we will show you exactly what your business qualifies for.
The northern Gold Coast is one of the fastest growing parts of Queensland, from the canals of Runaway Bay and Hope Island to new estates in Coomera, Pimpama and Ormeau and semi-rural blocks around Wongawallan. We look after Wongawallan and the surrounding suburbs of Upper Coomera, Guanaba and Willow Vale, so a free on-site measure in 4210 is easy to book.
- Plenty of Wongawallan properties are on acreage, which opens up ground-mounted arrays, sheds and larger systems. Rural feeders also see more outages, so battery backup is popular here.

About Wongawallan
This is hill country. Mount Wongawallan climbs to 378 metres in the north-east, and Tamborine Creek flows down to meet Wongawallan Creek near Welch Pioneer Park before the water heads on to the Coomera River. Tamborine-Oxenford Road is the main route through. There are 22 parks and reserves, among them the Eagle Heights and Wongawallan conservation areas. Kids travel to Upper Coomera or Tamborine Mountain for school, as there is none in the locality.

Still unsure? Talk to us directly. You will speak with the people who do the work.
Call 0449 942 735How quickly does commercial solar pay back?
Businesses that operate during daylight hours typically see payback in 3 to 5 years, because almost all the solar is used on site at your full tariff rather than exported.
What size system does my business need?
It depends on your daytime load. We use your interval data or 12 months of bills to model usage and size the system so very little goes to waste.
Is there a rebate for commercial solar?
Yes. From 1 October 2026 the federal small-scale rebate (STCs) applies to systems up to 1MW, up from the old 100kW limit, with a fixed five-year deeming period. Larger systems can still use the large-scale scheme instead. We include the rebate in your quote.
