EV charger installation in Austinville
A 7kW home charger adds around 40km of range an hour, and with solar it can cost close to nothing.
Why Austinville homes choose RS Energy for ev chargers
A standard power point adds only about 10km of range an hour. A dedicated 7kW wall charger is around four times faster, and a solar-aware charger can soak up your surplus solar during the day instead of exporting it for a few cents.
We check your switchboard and main supply, recommend single or three phase charging, and install the charger neatly where your car actually parks. In Austinville we can also pair the charger with new solar or a battery so it all works together.
The southern Gold Coast stretches from Coolangatta and the beaches of Palm Beach and Burleigh back to Robina, Mudgeeraba and the valleys of Currumbin and Tallebudgera, with everything from beachfront units to acreage. Our ev chargers work in Austinville also covers neighbouring Bonogin, Springbrook and Neranwood, all within about 5km.
- Plenty of Austinville properties are on acreage, which opens up ground-mounted arrays, sheds and larger systems. Rural feeders also see more outages, so battery backup is popular here.

Austinville: a local snapshot
Austinville started in 1934 as a government banana plantation set up to resettle people left jobless by the Great Depression. Around 50 small homes went up for the families, and the name honours William Henry Austin, then Under-Secretary for Labour and Industry. The experiment did not last, and most of the settlers had moved on by 1939.
Valley homes under a range can lose direct sun early in the afternoon, so mapping the hill and tree shadows across the year is the first step before choosing panel placement or deciding how much battery is worth having.

Can I charge my EV from solar?
Yes. A solar-aware charger adjusts its charging speed to match your surplus solar, so you use your own power instead of exporting it. It works best if the car is home during the day.
