Solar panels in Austinville, installed properly
A family solar company that measures your roof, explains the numbers and installs it right the first time.
Why Austinville homes choose RS Energy for solar panels
Plenty of companies sell solar on price alone. We sell it on quality, because a system that is designed and installed well keeps paying you back for decades. Every Austinville quote starts with a free measure of your roof.
A typical 6.6kW system in Austinville makes about 28.4kWh a day on average across the year, while a 10kW system makes about 43kWh. Austinville is on the Energex network. Most homes can export up to 5kW per phase on a standard connection, and newer dynamic connections allow more. We size your inverter to get the most from those limits and lodge the Energex application for you.
The southern Gold Coast stretches from Coolangatta and the beaches of Palm Beach and Burleigh back to Robina, Mudgeeraba and the valleys of Currumbin and Tallebudgera, with everything from beachfront units to acreage. Our solar panels work in Austinville also covers neighbouring Bonogin, Springbrook and Neranwood, all within about 5km.
- Plenty of Austinville properties are on acreage, which opens up ground-mounted arrays, sheds and larger systems. Rural feeders also see more outages, so battery backup is popular here.

Austinville: a local snapshot
Austinville started in 1934 as a government banana plantation set up to resettle people left jobless by the Great Depression. Around 50 small homes went up for the families, and the name honours William Henry Austin, then Under-Secretary for Labour and Industry. The experiment did not last, and most of the settlers had moved on by 1939.
Mudgeeraba Creek runs down a valley here with the Nimmel Range rising on the western side. Much of the old banana country has gone back to rainforest, and the southern end falls inside Springbrook National Park. Outside the protected land, properties mix homes with grazing on native vegetation. With no school in the valley, children travel to Mudgeeraba and Robina. Just 403 people lived here in 2021.

Call 0449 942 735How much does solar cost in Austinville?
Most Austinville homes pay between $4,800 and $7,000 for a quality 6.6kW system and $7,400 to $11,000 for 10kW, after the federal rebate. We give you a fixed price after a free on-site measure, so there are no surprises on install day.
What size solar system do I need in Austinville?
Look at your bill. Most families using 20 to 30kWh a day suit 6.6kW to 10kW. If you run pool pumps, ducted air or an EV, or plan to add a battery, 10kW to 13kW usually makes more sense. Energex export limits also shape the right inverter size.
Is solar still worth it with low feed-in tariffs?
Yes, if the system is sized for self-use. Every kWh you use from your panels saves you the full retail rate, which is far more than the few cents you get for exporting. Running dishwashers, pool pumps and hot water in the middle of the day makes a big difference, and a battery stretches it into the evening.
How long does installation take?
Most homes are done in a single day. We book the install once your network approval comes back, then arrange the meter change with your retailer.
Do you install solar on tile, tin and Klip-Lok roofs in Austinville?
Yes. We install on concrete and terracotta tiles, corrugated iron, Colorbond and Klip-Lok, with tilt frames where a flat roof needs them.
Do you service Austinville 4213 and nearby suburbs?
Yes. Austinville is part of our Southern Gold Coast service area in the City of Gold Coast area, and we regularly work in Bonogin, Springbrook, Neranwood, Tallebudgera Valley. Call 0449 942 735 or request a quote online and we will reply within 24 hours.
