EV charger installation in Dunbible
Charge your car overnight or straight from your solar. A neat, safe home charger installed by electricians who understand solar.
Why Dunbible homes choose RS Energy for ev chargers
A standard power point adds only about 10km of range an hour. A dedicated 7kW wall charger is around four times faster, and a solar-aware charger can soak up your surplus solar during the day instead of exporting it for a few cents.
We check your switchboard and main supply, recommend single or three phase charging, and install the charger neatly where your car actually parks. In Dunbible we can also pair the charger with new solar or a battery so it all works together.
The Tweed runs from the border at Tweed Heads down the coast to Pottsville and inland along the river to Murwillumbah and Uki, a mix of beach houses, river-flat towns and hinterland acreage. Our ev chargers work in Dunbible also covers neighbouring Stokers Siding, South Murwillumbah and Murwillumbah, all within about 5km.
- Plenty of Dunbible properties are on acreage, which opens up ground-mounted arrays, sheds and larger systems. Rural feeders also see more outages, so battery backup is popular here.

Dunbible: a local snapshot
Dunbible was a small farming community from the late 1880s, running dairy cattle, beef and pigs. When Dunbible Station opened on Christmas Eve 1894 on the Murwillumbah line, farmers could send dairy produce to bigger markets through the Norco Co-operative. The name is thought to come from the Bundjalung word djunbi, a black apple tree, though a local tale involves a pastor dropping his Bible.
Small farms with a dairy or cattle history often have large shed roofs that make good solar platforms, keeping panels off the house and powering pumps and workshop gear during the day.

Call 0449 942 735How much does it cost to install an EV charger?
A 7kW charger is typically $1,000 to $2,300 installed. If your switchboard needs an upgrade, allow another $800 to $2,200. We give a fixed price after a quick check.
Can I charge my EV from solar?
Yes. A solar-aware charger adjusts its charging speed to match your surplus solar, so you use your own power instead of exporting it. It works best if the car is home during the day.
