Why Eagleby homes choose RS Energy for ev chargers

A standard power point adds only about 10km of range an hour. A dedicated 7kW wall charger is around four times faster, and a solar-aware charger can soak up your surplus solar during the day instead of exporting it for a few cents.

We check your switchboard and main supply, recommend single or three phase charging, and install the charger neatly where your car actually parks. In Eagleby we can also pair the charger with new solar or a battery so it all works together.

Logan blends established suburbs such as Springwood, Shailer Park and Browns Plains with new communities at Yarrabilba, Park Ridge and Logan Reserve, plus acreage through Jimboomba, Greenbank and Munruben. Our ev chargers work in Eagleby also covers neighbouring Beenleigh, Loganholme and Mount Warren Park, all within about 3km.

  • Low-lying pockets of Eagleby sit inside council flood mapping. Where it matters we mount inverters and batteries above the flood planning level and keep isolators easy to reach.

Eagleby: a local snapshot

Once called Philadelphia, Eagleby had its own sugar mill until 1943. The first school started as a provisional school in 1906 and became a state school three years later. Most of the modern suburb took shape later: a wastewater plant came in 1967, Eagleby South State School in 1978, the fire station in 1983, a new state school in 1988 and Eagleby Plaza in 1989.

Riverside streets near the Logan and Albert junction should plan where inverters and batteries are mounted with flooding in mind, while the many family homes here suit a system sized for evening use.

How much does it cost to install an EV charger?

A 7kW charger is typically $1,000 to $2,300 installed. If your switchboard needs an upgrade, allow another $800 to $2,200. We give a fixed price after a quick check.

Can I charge my EV from solar?

Yes. A solar-aware charger adjusts its charging speed to match your surplus solar, so you use your own power instead of exporting it. It works best if the car is home during the day.

Do I need three phase power?

No. Most homes are well served by a 7kW single phase charger, which comfortably fills most cars overnight. Three phase allows 11kW to 22kW if your home already has it.
