Going solar in Eagleby

Logan blends established suburbs such as Springwood, Shailer Park and Browns Plains with new communities at Yarrabilba, Park Ridge and Logan Reserve, plus acreage through Jimboomba, Greenbank and Munruben.

Logan mixes established family suburbs, fast-growing estates like Yarrabilba and Park Ridge, and acreage around Jimboomba and Greenbank. Big households and big air conditioning loads make solar and batteries pay back quickly here.

Eagleby is on the Energex network. Most homes can export up to 5kW per phase on a standard connection, and newer dynamic connections allow more. We size your inverter to get the most from those limits and lodge the Energex application for you.

  • Low-lying pockets of Eagleby sit inside council flood mapping. Where it matters we mount inverters and batteries above the flood planning level and keep isolators easy to reach.

Eagleby: history and local area

Once called Philadelphia, Eagleby had its own sugar mill until 1943. The first school started as a provisional school in 1906 and became a state school three years later. Most of the modern suburb took shape later: a wastewater plant came in 1967, Eagleby South State School in 1978, the fire station in 1983, a new state school in 1988 and Eagleby Plaza in 1989.

Water defines the edges. The Albert River curls around the south and east, and the suburb fronts the Logan near the spot where the two rivers meet, while the Pacific Motorway marks the western side. Eagleby Plaza holds a supermarket and 21 other shops plus the post office. The community hall is on Fryar Road, and there are two state primary schools, though high schoolers travel out. Beenleigh station is a short drive away.

Riverside streets near the Logan and Albert junction should plan where inverters and batteries are mounted with flooding in mind, while the many family homes here suit a system sized for evening use.
