Solar Panels Dutton Park: local, honest, done right

Solar is a 25-year decision, so the panels, inverter and installation quality matter far more than shaving a few hundred dollars off the quote. RS Energy is a family-run solar company and we design every Dutton Park system around your roof, your shading and your bills.

A typical 6.6kW system in Dutton Park makes about 27.7kWh a day on average across the year, while a 10kW system makes about 42kWh. Dutton Park is on the Energex network. Most homes can export up to 5kW per phase on a standard connection, and newer dynamic connections allow more. We size your inverter to get the most from those limits and lodge the Energex application for you.

Inner Brisbane is full of character: Queenslanders, workers cottages and townhouses on small lots in places like Paddington, West End, New Farm and Bulimba, where neat installs and careful panel layout matter. We look after Dutton Park and the surrounding suburbs of Woolloongabba, Highgate Hill and Fairfield, so a free on-site measure in 4102 is easy to book.

About Dutton Park

H.C. Rawnsley surveyed the area for government reserves in 1863, but rough terrain kept growth slow. The South Brisbane Cemetery was reserved in 1866 and Boggo Road Gaol opened in 1883. A park named in 1884 after Lands Minister Charles Boydell Dutton lent its name to a station, a school and eventually the suburb around 1910. The Eleanor Schonell Bridge to St Lucia opened in 2006.

Set on a ridge above the Brisbane River opposite St Lucia, the land slopes down from Gladstone Road. A large riverside recreation area and the historic cemetery take up much of the space, and a remnant of Boggo Road Gaol now operates as a museum. Homes mix with light industry. Brisbane South State Secondary College opened in 2021, and both a train station and busway station serve the area.

How much does solar cost in Dutton Park?

Most Dutton Park homes pay between $4,800 and $7,000 for a quality 6.6kW system and $7,400 to $11,000 for 10kW, after the federal rebate. We give you a fixed price after a free on-site measure, so there are no surprises on install day.

What size solar system do I need in Dutton Park?

Look at your bill. Most families using 20 to 30kWh a day suit 6.6kW to 10kW. If you run pool pumps, ducted air or an EV, or plan to add a battery, 10kW to 13kW usually makes more sense. Energex export limits also shape the right inverter size.

Is solar still worth it with low feed-in tariffs?

Yes, if the system is sized for self-use. Every kWh you use from your panels saves you the full retail rate, which is far more than the few cents you get for exporting. Running dishwashers, pool pumps and hot water in the middle of the day makes a big difference, and a battery stretches it into the evening.

How long does installation take?

Most homes are done in a single day. We book the install once your network approval comes back, then arrange the meter change with your retailer.

Do you install solar on tile, tin and Klip-Lok roofs in Dutton Park?

Yes. We install on concrete and terracotta tiles, corrugated iron, Colorbond and Klip-Lok, with tilt frames where a flat roof needs them.

Do you service Dutton Park 4102 and nearby suburbs?

Yes. Dutton Park is part of our Inner Brisbane service area in the Brisbane City Council area, and we regularly work in Woolloongabba, Highgate Hill, Fairfield, West End. Call 0449 942 735 or request a quote online and we will reply within 24 hours.
