Solar panels in St Lucia, installed properly
Tier 1 panels, proven inverters and a clean install from a team that answers the phone after the job is done.
Solar panels for St Lucia, planned around your home
Whether it is your first system or you are replacing an old one, we size solar for St Lucia homes around real usage, not the biggest number we can fit on the roof.
A typical 6.6kW system in St Lucia makes about 27.7kWh a day on average across the year, while a 10kW system makes about 42kWh. St Lucia is on the Energex network. Most homes can export up to 5kW per phase on a standard connection, and newer dynamic connections allow more. We size your inverter to get the most from those limits and lodge the Energex application for you.
Brisbane's west takes in leafy riverside suburbs like Indooroopilly, Kenmore and Chapel Hill, the Centenary suburbs, and hillier, tree-lined streets around The Gap, Ashgrove and Ferny Grove where shading needs careful planning. From St Lucia to nearby Taringa and Yeronga, we quote every job in person so the price you sign is the price you pay.
- Low-lying pockets of St Lucia sit inside council flood mapping. Where it matters we mount inverters and batteries above the flood planning level and keep isolators easy to reach.

Getting to know St Lucia
Sugar cane covered this river bend in the 1860s, when it was known as Indooroopilly Pocket. In 1882 William Alexander Wilson bought the Coldridge Plantation and renamed it after St Lucia in the West Indies, where he was born. He subdivided it for housing in 1883. The local primary school dates from 1870, though it only took the Ironside name in 1904.
A peninsula in a big Brisbane River bend, St Lucia is home to about 12,200 people and the main University of Queensland campus, 7.3 km by road from the city. The north is flatter with apartments and riverfront towers, while the hilly centre and south hold family homes. Two CityCat terminals, the Eleanor Schonell Bridge, a golf course and 15 parks serve residents.

Solar panels in St Lucia: questions
Still unsure? Talk to us directly. You will speak with the people who do the work.
Call 0449 942 735How much does solar cost in St Lucia?
Most St Lucia homes pay between $4,800 and $7,000 for a quality 6.6kW system and $7,400 to $11,000 for 10kW, after the federal rebate. We give you a fixed price after a free on-site measure, so there are no surprises on install day.
What size solar system do I need in St Lucia?
Look at your bill. Most families using 20 to 30kWh a day suit 6.6kW to 10kW. If you run pool pumps, ducted air or an EV, or plan to add a battery, 10kW to 13kW usually makes more sense. Energex export limits also shape the right inverter size.
Is solar still worth it with low feed-in tariffs?
Yes, if the system is sized for self-use. Every kWh you use from your panels saves you the full retail rate, which is far more than the few cents you get for exporting. Running dishwashers, pool pumps and hot water in the middle of the day makes a big difference, and a battery stretches it into the evening.
How long does installation take?
Most homes are done in a single day. We book the install once your network approval comes back, then arrange the meter change with your retailer.
Do you install solar on tile, tin and Klip-Lok roofs in St Lucia?
Yes. We install on concrete and terracotta tiles, corrugated iron, Colorbond and Klip-Lok, with tilt frames where a flat roof needs them.
Do you service St Lucia 4067 and nearby suburbs?
Yes. St Lucia is part of our Brisbane Westside service area in the Brisbane City Council area, and we regularly work in Taringa, Yeronga, Toowong, Highgate Hill. Call 0449 942 735 or request a quote online and we will reply within 24 hours.
