Solar panels in Lilywood, installed properly
A family solar company that measures your roof, explains the numbers and installs it right the first time.
Why Lilywood homes choose RS Energy for solar panels
Plenty of companies sell solar on price alone. We sell it on quality, because a system that is designed and installed well keeps paying you back for decades. Every Lilywood quote starts with a free measure of your roof.
A typical 6.6kW system in Lilywood makes about 27.7kWh a day on average across the year, while a 10kW system makes about 42kWh. Lilywood is on the Energex network. Most homes can export up to 5kW per phase on a standard connection, and newer dynamic connections allow more. We size your inverter to get the most from those limits and lodge the Energex application for you.
North Brisbane and Moreton Bay run from Albany Creek and Strathpine through North Lakes and Narangba to Caboolture and Bribie Island, taking in the Redcliffe Peninsula and acreage around Samford and Dayboro. Our solar panels work in Lilywood also covers neighbouring Upper Caboolture, Wagtail Grove and Waraba, all within about 3km.
- Newer homes in Lilywood usually have clean, unshaded roofs and modern switchboards, which keeps installs quick. Estate covenants rarely restrict solar, but we check before we quote.

Lilywood: a local snapshot
Lilywood did not exist until April 2023, when the state government carved it out of Upper Caboolture. The name pairs wood with the blue flax lily, a plant native to the Caboolture district. In August 2024 it was folded into the Waraba Priority Development Area, which sets the rules for how the wider growth corridor west of Caboolture will be built.
Right now Lilywood is a new estate area rather than an established suburb. The first project, Lilywood Landings, covers about 70 hectares and is planned for 705 lots, with a similar area set aside as greenspace and 4.5 km of walking and bike paths beside the Caboolture River. A primary school, sports fields and a town centre are planned. Until then, families use schools in Morayfield.

Still unsure? Talk to us directly. You will speak with the people who do the work.
Call 0449 942 735How much does solar cost in Lilywood?
Most Lilywood homes pay between $4,800 and $7,000 for a quality 6.6kW system and $7,400 to $11,000 for 10kW, after the federal rebate. We give you a fixed price after a free on-site measure, so there are no surprises on install day.
What size solar system do I need in Lilywood?
Look at your bill. Most families using 20 to 30kWh a day suit 6.6kW to 10kW. If you run pool pumps, ducted air or an EV, or plan to add a battery, 10kW to 13kW usually makes more sense. Energex export limits also shape the right inverter size.
Is solar still worth it with low feed-in tariffs?
Yes, if the system is sized for self-use. Every kWh you use from your panels saves you the full retail rate, which is far more than the few cents you get for exporting. Running dishwashers, pool pumps and hot water in the middle of the day makes a big difference, and a battery stretches it into the evening.
How long does installation take?
Most homes are done in a single day. We book the install once your network approval comes back, then arrange the meter change with your retailer.
Do you install solar on tile, tin and Klip-Lok roofs in Lilywood?
Yes. We install on concrete and terracotta tiles, corrugated iron, Colorbond and Klip-Lok, with tilt frames where a flat roof needs them.
Do you service Lilywood 4513 and nearby suburbs?
Yes. Lilywood is part of our North Brisbane & Moreton Bay service area in the City of Moreton Bay area, and we regularly work in Upper Caboolture, Wagtail Grove, Waraba, Greenstone. Call 0449 942 735 or request a quote online and we will reply within 24 hours.
