Lilywood is on the Energex network. Most homes can export up to 5kW per phase on a standard connection, and newer dynamic connections allow more. We size your inverter to get the most from those limits and lodge the Energex application for you.

  • Newer homes in Lilywood usually have clean, unshaded roofs and modern switchboards, which keeps installs quick. Estate covenants rarely restrict solar, but we check before we quote.

Lilywood: history and local area

Lilywood did not exist until April 2023, when the state government carved it out of Upper Caboolture. The name pairs wood with the blue flax lily, a plant native to the Caboolture district. In August 2024 it was folded into the Waraba Priority Development Area, which sets the rules for how the wider growth corridor west of Caboolture will be built.

Right now Lilywood is a new estate area rather than an established suburb. The first project, Lilywood Landings, covers about 70 hectares and is planned for 705 lots, with a similar area set aside as greenspace and 4.5 km of walking and bike paths beside the Caboolture River. A primary school, sports fields and a town centre are planned. Until then, families use schools in Morayfield.

New builds in a planned estate are the easiest time to add solar, as roof layout, switchboard space and battery location can be sorted during construction instead of retrofitted later.
