About Gilberton
The ground here is flat and low, sitting under 10 metres above sea level, and is crossed by Sandy Creek, Halfway Creek and other small waterways. Sugarcane covers most of it, with some cattle grazing on native vegetation in the west. Goldmine Park and Prairie Reserve are the two parks.
