EV charger installation in Chinderah
A 7kW home charger adds around 40km of range an hour, and with solar it can cost close to nothing.
Why Chinderah homes choose RS Energy for ev chargers
A standard power point adds only about 10km of range an hour. A dedicated 7kW wall charger is around four times faster, and a solar-aware charger can soak up your surplus solar during the day instead of exporting it for a few cents.
We check your switchboard and main supply, recommend single or three phase charging, and install the charger neatly where your car actually parks. In Chinderah we can also pair the charger with new solar or a battery so it all works together.
The Tweed runs from the border at Tweed Heads down the coast to Pottsville and inland along the river to Murwillumbah and Uki, a mix of beach houses, river-flat towns and hinterland acreage. Our ev chargers work in Chinderah also covers neighbouring Banora Point, Kingscliff and Fingal Head, all within about 4km.
- Low-lying pockets of Chinderah sit inside council flood mapping. Where it matters we mount inverters and batteries above the flood planning level and keep isolators easy to reach.

Chinderah: a local snapshot
Chinderah is part of the traditional lands of the Ngandowal and Minyungbal-speaking Bundjalung people. One of the few historical records is a photo of Barney's Point Bridge spanning the Tweed River around 1940. That crossing opened in 1936 and drew traffic away from older river towns such as Tumbulgum, showing how the river has long shaped this spot just south of Tweed Heads.
Chinderah's industrial estate is home to businesses whose loads often peak during daylight hours, which is exactly when commercial rooftop solar produces the most, while riverside homes should keep batteries above flood height.

Call 0449 942 735How much does it cost to install an EV charger?
A 7kW charger is typically $1,000 to $2,300 installed. If your switchboard needs an upgrade, allow another $800 to $2,200. We give a fixed price after a quick check.
Can I charge my EV from solar?
Yes. A solar-aware charger adjusts its charging speed to match your surplus solar, so you use your own power instead of exporting it. It works best if the car is home during the day.
