EV charger installation in Coorparoo
A 7kW home charger adds around 40km of range an hour, and with solar it can cost close to nothing.
Why Coorparoo homes choose RS Energy for ev chargers
A standard power point adds only about 10km of range an hour. A dedicated 7kW wall charger is around four times faster, and a solar-aware charger can soak up your surplus solar during the day instead of exporting it for a few cents.
We check your switchboard and main supply, recommend single or three phase charging, and install the charger neatly where your car actually parks. In Coorparoo we can also pair the charger with new solar or a battery so it all works together.
Brisbane's southside covers older post-war suburbs like Annerley, Moorooka and Holland Park, the busy family areas around Sunnybank, Mansfield and Carindale, and newer pockets at Pallara and Forest Lake. Our ev chargers work in Coorparoo also covers neighbouring Greenslopes, Camp Hill and Holland Park, all within about 2km.
- Many Coorparoo homes are character Queenslanders and older workers cottages with corrugated iron roofs. Tin roofs are quick to mount on, and we keep conduit runs neat and out of sight on heritage-style facades.

Coorparoo: a local snapshot
Until 1875 this area was known as Four Mile Camp. A public meeting that March picked Coorparoo, probably taken from an Aboriginal name for Norman Creek. Farms were sold off from 1856, John Black ran the first subdivision in 1882, and the Stanley Street bridge of 1886 opened the way to the city. Trams pushed out to Coorparoo Junction in 1915, and house numbers more than doubled between 1911 and 1921.
Spanish Mission homes, timber Queenslanders and 1960s unit blocks all sit side by side, so roof material, pitch and heritage listing can each change what panel layout works best on a given house.

Yes. A solar-aware charger adjusts its charging speed to match your surplus solar, so you use your own power instead of exporting it. It works best if the car is home during the day.
