Why Crestmead homes choose RS Energy for ev chargers

A standard power point adds only about 10km of range an hour. A dedicated 7kW wall charger is around four times faster, and a solar-aware charger can soak up your surplus solar during the day instead of exporting it for a few cents.

We check your switchboard and main supply, recommend single or three phase charging, and install the charger neatly where your car actually parks. In Crestmead we can also pair the charger with new solar or a battery so it all works together.

Logan blends established suburbs such as Springwood, Shailer Park and Browns Plains with new communities at Yarrabilba, Park Ridge and Logan Reserve, plus acreage through Jimboomba, Greenbank and Munruben. Our ev chargers work in Crestmead also covers neighbouring Marsden, Park Ridge and Logan Reserve, all within about 3km.

Crestmead: a local snapshot

Swedish migrants off the ship Chyebassa took up farms here in 1885, and the Hubner brothers started farming in 1893. For years locals simply called the district Hubner. In 1987 the Shire of Beaudesert moved to make a name official and settled on Crestmead, borrowed from a housing estate in the area. The industrial estate had opened in 1983, followed by the state school in 1984 and St Francis' College in 1988.

Factories in the industrial estate can run 24 hours, so a large roof system plus storage can cut demand costs, while the housing side suits standard household systems sized to family use.

How much does it cost to install an EV charger?

A 7kW charger is typically $1,000 to $2,300 installed. If your switchboard needs an upgrade, allow another $800 to $2,200. We give a fixed price after a quick check.

Can I charge my EV from solar?

Yes. A solar-aware charger adjusts its charging speed to match your surplus solar, so you use your own power instead of exporting it. It works best if the car is home during the day.
