EV charger installation in Newmarket
A 7kW home charger adds around 40km of range an hour, and with solar it can cost close to nothing.
EV Charger Installation Newmarket: local, honest, done right
A standard power point adds only about 10km of range an hour. A dedicated 7kW wall charger is around four times faster, and a solar-aware charger can soak up your surplus solar during the day instead of exporting it for a few cents.
We check your switchboard and main supply, recommend single or three phase charging, and install the charger neatly where your car actually parks. In Newmarket we can also pair the charger with new solar or a battery so it all works together.
Brisbane's west takes in leafy riverside suburbs like Indooroopilly, Kenmore and Chapel Hill, the Centenary suburbs, and hillier, tree-lined streets around The Gap, Ashgrove and Ferny Grove where shading needs careful planning. We look after Newmarket and the surrounding suburbs of Wilston, Alderley and Grange, so a free on-site measure in 4051 is easy to book.
- Many Newmarket homes are character Queenslanders and older workers cottages with corrugated iron roofs. Tin roofs are quick to mount on, and we keep conduit runs neat and out of sight on heritage-style facades.

About Newmarket
Known first as The Three Mile Scrub, the area took a new name when Brisbane's saleyards moved in around 1880 and became the new market. Trains came in 1899 and trams in 1903, a year before the state school opened. The saleyards left for Cannon Hill in 1931, and houses were planned on the old site two years later.
Pre-war Queenslanders often have tin roofs that suit panels well, while townhouses and unit blocks typically need body corporate approval and a plan for sharing limited roof space between residents.

Call 0449 942 735How much does it cost to install an EV charger?
A 7kW charger is typically $1,000 to $2,300 installed. If your switchboard needs an upgrade, allow another $800 to $2,200. We give a fixed price after a quick check.
Can I charge my EV from solar?
Yes. A solar-aware charger adjusts its charging speed to match your surplus solar, so you use your own power instead of exporting it. It works best if the car is home during the day.
Do I need three phase power?
