EV charger installation in Runaway Bay
A 7kW home charger adds around 40km of range an hour, and with solar it can cost close to nothing.
EV chargers for Runaway Bay, planned around your home
A standard power point adds only about 10km of range an hour. A dedicated 7kW wall charger is around four times faster, and a solar-aware charger can soak up your surplus solar during the day instead of exporting it for a few cents.
We check your switchboard and main supply, recommend single or three phase charging, and install the charger neatly where your car actually parks. In Runaway Bay we can also pair the charger with new solar or a battery so it all works together.
The northern Gold Coast is one of the fastest growing parts of Queensland, from the canals of Runaway Bay and Hope Island to new estates in Coomera, Pimpama and Ormeau and semi-rural blocks around Wongawallan. From Runaway Bay to nearby Biggera Waters and Coombabah, we quote every job in person so the price you sign is the price you pay.
- Being close to the water, Runaway Bay gets salt-laden sea breezes. We use corrosion-resistant racking, stainless fixings and panels and inverters rated for coastal sites, and we design to the local wind loading.

Getting to know Runaway Bay
In 1939 Robert George Oates's Anglers Paradise Development Company bought 350 acres along Biggera Creek and the Broadwater, and by the mid 1950s around 50 homes had town water. Lae Enterprises added 182 hectares to the north in 1967, and building on the boating subdivision began in 1972. The Runaway Bay name was first knocked back as a suburb name but stuck after the post office adopted it.
Broadwater homes cop salt-laden breezes, so coastal-rated panels and fixings are sensible, and across the mostly residential streets, a well-placed array with a battery can cover much of a household's evening use.

Yes. A solar-aware charger adjusts its charging speed to match your surplus solar, so you use your own power instead of exporting it. It works best if the car is home during the day.
