EV chargers for Sanctuary Cove, planned around your home

A standard power point adds only about 10km of range an hour. A dedicated 7kW wall charger is around four times faster, and a solar-aware charger can soak up your surplus solar during the day instead of exporting it for a few cents.

We check your switchboard and main supply, recommend single or three phase charging, and install the charger neatly where your car actually parks. In Sanctuary Cove we can also pair the charger with new solar or a battery so it all works together.

The northern Gold Coast is one of the fastest growing parts of Queensland, from the canals of Runaway Bay and Hope Island to new estates in Coomera, Pimpama and Ormeau and semi-rural blocks around Wongawallan. From Sanctuary Cove to nearby Hope Island and Coomera, we quote every job in person so the price you sign is the price you pay.

Getting to know Sanctuary Cove

Mike Gore launched Sanctuary Cove in 1986 and opened it two years later, the same year the first international boat show was held here. Japanese company EIE International bought the project in 1989 but went into receivership in 1992. Mulpha Australia took ownership in 2002, and a new golf clubhouse opened on 9 April 2010.

Because Sanctuary Cove is run by residential body corporates with design standards, a solar or battery project usually starts with checking the approval process, then choosing hardware that suits the riverside conditions.

How much does it cost to install an EV charger?

A 7kW charger is typically $1,000 to $2,300 installed. If your switchboard needs an upgrade, allow another $800 to $2,200. We give a fixed price after a quick check.

Can I charge my EV from solar?

Yes. A solar-aware charger adjusts its charging speed to match your surplus solar, so you use your own power instead of exporting it. It works best if the car is home during the day.

Do I need three phase power?
