Going solar in Sanctuary Cove
The northern Gold Coast is one of the fastest growing parts of Queensland, from the canals of Runaway Bay and Hope Island to new estates in Coomera, Pimpama and Ormeau and semi-rural blocks around Wongawallan.
Over half of Gold Coast houses already have rooftop solar, so a lot of our work here is batteries, upgrades and fixing tired systems, alongside new installs in growth areas like Coomera, Pimpama and Ormeau.
Sanctuary Cove is on the Energex network. Most homes can export up to 5kW per phase on a standard connection, and newer dynamic connections allow more. We size your inverter to get the most from those limits and lodge the Energex application for you.

Sanctuary Cove: history and local area
Mike Gore launched Sanctuary Cove in 1986 and opened it two years later, the same year the first international boat show was held here. Japanese company EIE International bought the project in 1989 but went into receivership in 1992. Mulpha Australia took ownership in 2002, and a new golf clubhouse opened on 9 April 2010.
Set on the south bank of the Coomera River near its mouth, with Coomera Island to the east, this 474 hectare gated community runs like a resort town. There are two 18 hole courses, The Palms and The Pines, a 300 berth marina, an InterContinental hotel and a Marine Village for dining. Twenty residential body corporates manage the estate, and the boat show still returns every year.
Because Sanctuary Cove is run by residential body corporates with design standards, a solar or battery project usually starts with checking the approval process, then choosing hardware that suits the riverside conditions.
