Solar batteries in Pimpama, with the rebate applied
Cut your evening power bill with a home battery, installed neatly and set up to make the most of current tariffs.
Solar batteries for Pimpama, planned around your home
Feed-in tariffs have fallen to a few cents, while evening power still costs around 30 cents or more per kWh. A battery stores the solar you would otherwise sell cheaply and uses it after sunset, which is where the real savings now are for Pimpama households.
Queensland homes get the federal Cheaper Home Batteries discount, which takes roughly $250 per kWh off the first 14kWh at current certificate prices. Queensland has no separate state battery rebate open right now, and anyone telling you otherwise is out of date. Since 1 May 2026 the discount is tapered, so the first 14kWh gets the full rate and larger batteries get less per kWh. We will show you the sweet spot for your home.
The northern Gold Coast is one of the fastest growing parts of Queensland, from the canals of Runaway Bay and Hope Island to new estates in Coomera, Pimpama and Ormeau and semi-rural blocks around Wongawallan. From Pimpama to nearby Willow Vale and Coomera, we quote every job in person so the price you sign is the price you pay.
- Newer homes in Pimpama usually have clean, unshaded roofs and modern switchboards, which keeps installs quick. Estate covenants rarely restrict solar, but we check before we quote.

Getting to know Pimpama
Pimpama runs along the Pacific Motorway with the Pimpama River on its northern edge and Hotham Creek winding through. It is one of the fastest growing suburbs in the country, yet large areas are still undeveloped. Pimpama City Shopping Centre opened in 2018, the new railway station opened in October 2025, and the Strawberry Farm and Gainsborough Greens golf course are local landmarks.
Lots of Pimpama homes are recently built in new subdivisions with open, unshaded roofs, which gives a clean start for solar, and many new owners can plan a battery from day one rather than adding it later.

Solar batteries in Pimpama: questions
Still unsure? Talk to us directly. You will speak with the people who do the work.
Call 0449 942 735Is a home battery worth it in Pimpama?
For most households that export a lot of solar and use power in the evening, yes. With the federal discount, many batteries now pay back in roughly 6 to 9 years, and you get blackout protection as a bonus. We will run the numbers on your actual bills before you commit.
How much is the battery rebate?
Queensland homes get the federal Cheaper Home Batteries discount, which takes roughly $250 per kWh off the first 14kWh at current certificate prices. Queensland has no separate state battery rebate open right now, and anyone telling you otherwise is out of date. The certificate rate drops every six months from January 2027, so the discount is worth less the longer you wait.
Can you add a battery to my existing solar?
Usually, yes. Most systems can take an AC-coupled battery without touching your panels. If your inverter is old or failing, a hybrid inverter replacement can be the better long-term option. We will check on site.
Will a battery keep my power on in a blackout?
Only if it is installed with backup. Most batteries we install include backup for essential circuits, and some can back up the whole home. We will explain what will and will not run before you choose.
What about free midday power plans?
Retailers now offer free power in the middle of the day on some plans in South East Queensland. A battery can soak up that free window as well as your own solar, then run your home through the expensive evening peak.
