Solar panels for Pimpama, planned around your home
Whether it is your first system or you are replacing an old one, we size solar for Pimpama homes around real usage, not the biggest number we can fit on the roof.
A typical 6.6kW system in Pimpama makes about 28.4kWh a day on average across the year, while a 10kW system makes about 43kWh. Pimpama is on the Energex network. Most homes can export up to 5kW per phase on a standard connection, and newer dynamic connections allow more. We size your inverter to get the most from those limits and lodge the Energex application for you.
The northern Gold Coast is one of the fastest growing parts of Queensland, from the canals of Runaway Bay and Hope Island to new estates in Coomera, Pimpama and Ormeau and semi-rural blocks around Wongawallan. From Pimpama to nearby Willow Vale and Coomera, we quote every job in person so the price you sign is the price you pay.
- Newer homes in Pimpama usually have clean, unshaded roofs and modern switchboards, which keeps installs quick. Estate covenants rarely restrict solar, but we check before we quote.

Getting to know Pimpama
Jesse Daniells built a sawmill here in 1863, one of the earliest in the region. Township lots sold in February 1870, Cobb and Co coaches stopped here from about 1868, and arrowroot became a major crop in the 1870s and 1880s. The name is thought to come from Bundjalung words in the Yugumbir dialect meaning place of soldier birds. A wastewater plant finished in 2008 set off a wave of subdivisions.
Pimpama runs along the Pacific Motorway with the Pimpama River on its northern edge and Hotham Creek winding through. It is one of the fastest growing suburbs in the country, yet large areas are still undeveloped. Pimpama City Shopping Centre opened in 2018, the new railway station opened in October 2025, and the Strawberry Farm and Gainsborough Greens golf course are local landmarks.

Solar panels in Pimpama: questions
Still unsure? Talk to us directly. You will speak with the people who do the work.
Call 0449 942 735How much does solar cost in Pimpama?
Most Pimpama homes pay between $4,800 and $7,000 for a quality 6.6kW system and $7,400 to $11,000 for 10kW, after the federal rebate. We give you a fixed price after a free on-site measure, so there are no surprises on install day.
What size solar system do I need in Pimpama?
Look at your bill. Most families using 20 to 30kWh a day suit 6.6kW to 10kW. If you run pool pumps, ducted air or an EV, or plan to add a battery, 10kW to 13kW usually makes more sense. Energex export limits also shape the right inverter size.
Is solar still worth it with low feed-in tariffs?
Yes, if the system is sized for self-use. Every kWh you use from your panels saves you the full retail rate, which is far more than the few cents you get for exporting. Running dishwashers, pool pumps and hot water in the middle of the day makes a big difference, and a battery stretches it into the evening.
How long does installation take?
Most homes are done in a single day. We book the install once your network approval comes back, then arrange the meter change with your retailer.
Do you install solar on tile, tin and Klip-Lok roofs in Pimpama?
Yes. We install on concrete and terracotta tiles, corrugated iron, Colorbond and Klip-Lok, with tilt frames where a flat roof needs them.
Do you service Pimpama 4209 and nearby suburbs?
Yes. Pimpama is part of our Northern Gold Coast service area in the City of Gold Coast area, and we regularly work in Willow Vale, Coomera, Norwell, Ormeau. Call 0449 942 735 or request a quote online and we will reply within 24 hours.
