Solar panels for Coombabah, planned around your home

A typical 6.6kW system in Coombabah makes about 28.4kWh a day on average across the year, while a 10kW system makes about 43kWh. Coombabah is on the Energex network. Most homes can export up to 5kW per phase on a standard connection, and newer dynamic connections allow more. Getting to know Coombabah
Coombabah Lake and Creek give the suburb its name, from Bundjalung words in the Ngaraangbal dialect meaning place of the wood grubs. Early schools came and went with work crews, including one for public works families in 1887 and one for railway workers' children at Acrobat Creek from 1889 to 1890. The state primary school opened in 1981, the high school in 1986, and council declared the conservation area in 1994.
Wetland is the defining feature. The Coombabah Lakelands are Ramsar listed, one of only five such sites in Queensland, and Coombabah Lake Conservation Park has about 10 km of tracks and boardwalks plus a bird hide off Shelter Road. Homes, roads and businesses wrap around the reserve. Coombabah State School is on Oxley Drive and the high school on Pine Ridge Road.

Call 0449 942 735How much does solar cost in Coombabah?
Most Coombabah homes pay between $4,800 and $7,000 for a quality 6.6kW system and $7,400 to $11,000 for 10kW, after the federal rebate. We give you a fixed price after a free on-site measure, so there are no surprises on install day.
What size solar system do I need in Coombabah?
Look at your bill. Most families using 20 to 30kWh a day suit 6.6kW to 10kW. If you run pool pumps, ducted air or an EV, or plan to add a battery, 10kW to 13kW usually makes more sense. Energex export limits also shape the right inverter size.
Is solar still worth it with low feed-in tariffs?
Yes, if the system is sized for self-use. Every kWh you use from your panels saves you the full retail rate, which is far more than the few cents you get for exporting. Running dishwashers, pool pumps and hot water in the middle of the day makes a big difference, and a battery stretches it into the evening.
How long does installation take?
Most homes are done in a single day. We book the install once your network approval comes back, then arrange the meter change with your retailer.
Do you install solar on tile, tin and Klip-Lok roofs in Coombabah?
Yes. We install on concrete and terracotta tiles, corrugated iron, Colorbond and Klip-Lok, with tilt frames where a flat roof needs them.
Do you service Coombabah 4216 and nearby suburbs?
Yes. Coombabah is part of our Northern Gold Coast service area in the City of Gold Coast area, and we regularly work in Hollywell, Runaway Bay, Paradise Point, Biggera Waters. Call 0449 942 735 or request a quote online and we will reply within 24 hours.
