Solar panels for Doolandella, planned around your home
Whether it is your first system or you are replacing an old one, we size solar for Doolandella homes around real usage, not the biggest number we can fit on the roof.
A typical 6.6kW system in Doolandella makes about 27.7kWh a day on average across the year, while a 10kW system makes about 42kWh. Doolandella is on the Energex network. Most homes can export up to 5kW per phase on a standard connection, and newer dynamic connections allow more. We size your inverter to get the most from those limits and lodge the Energex application for you.
Brisbane's southside covers older post-war suburbs like Annerley, Moorooka and Holland Park, the busy family areas around Sunnybank, Mansfield and Carindale, and newer pockets at Pallara and Forest Lake. From Doolandella to nearby Forest Lake and Heathwood, we quote every job in person so the price you sign is the price you pay.

Getting to know Doolandella
Doolandella became an official suburb in 1976. Its name comes from a Yuggera word for the geebung, a broad leaved shrub with yellow fruit. Growth has been quick in recent years, with the population climbing from about 3,100 in 2011 to roughly 4,800 in 2016 and more than 7,100 by 2021 as new homes filled the area.
Almost every block in Doolandella is residential. Blunder Creek bends around the east and south, with Blunder Creek Reserve and several small neighbourhood parks such as Wedgetail Street and Wallaroo Way. Blunder Road links to the Ipswich Motorway and the Logan Motorway runs just south. Kids travel to schools in Inala, Pallara, Forest Lake or Durack, and the CBD is 20.7 km away.

Still unsure? Talk to us directly. You will speak with the people who do the work.
Call 0449 942 735How much does solar cost in Doolandella?
Most Doolandella homes pay between $4,800 and $7,000 for a quality 6.6kW system and $7,400 to $11,000 for 10kW, after the federal rebate. We give you a fixed price after a free on-site measure, so there are no surprises on install day.
What size solar system do I need in Doolandella?
Look at your bill. Most families using 20 to 30kWh a day suit 6.6kW to 10kW. If you run pool pumps, ducted air or an EV, or plan to add a battery, 10kW to 13kW usually makes more sense. Energex export limits also shape the right inverter size.
Is solar still worth it with low feed-in tariffs?
Yes, if the system is sized for self-use. Every kWh you use from your panels saves you the full retail rate, which is far more than the few cents you get for exporting. Running dishwashers, pool pumps and hot water in the middle of the day makes a big difference, and a battery stretches it into the evening.
How long does installation take?
Most homes are done in a single day. We book the install once your network approval comes back, then arrange the meter change with your retailer.
Do you install solar on tile, tin and Klip-Lok roofs in Doolandella?
Yes. We install on concrete and terracotta tiles, corrugated iron, Colorbond and Klip-Lok, with tilt frames where a flat roof needs them.
Do you service Doolandella 4077 and nearby suburbs?
Yes. Doolandella is part of our Brisbane Southside service area in the Brisbane City Council area, and we regularly work in Forest Lake, Heathwood, Larapinta, Willawong. Call 0449 942 735 or request a quote online and we will reply within 24 hours.
