Going solar in Doolandella
Brisbane's southside covers older post-war suburbs like Annerley, Moorooka and Holland Park, the busy family areas around Sunnybank, Mansfield and Carindale, and newer pockets at Pallara and Forest Lake.
Brisbane covers everything from Queenslanders with tin roofs and tight inner-city lots to big brick homes in the southern and western suburbs. Every roof is different, which is why we measure and design each one on site.
Doolandella is on the Energex network. Most homes can export up to 5kW per phase on a standard connection, and newer dynamic connections allow more. We size your inverter to get the most from those limits and lodge the Energex application for you.

Doolandella: history and local area
Doolandella became an official suburb in 1976. Its name comes from a Yuggera word for the geebung, a broad leaved shrub with yellow fruit. Growth has been quick in recent years, with the population climbing from about 3,100 in 2011 to roughly 4,800 in 2016 and more than 7,100 by 2021 as new homes filled the area.
Almost every block in Doolandella is residential. Blunder Creek bends around the east and south, with Blunder Creek Reserve and several small neighbourhood parks such as Wedgetail Street and Wallaroo Way. Blunder Road links to the Ipswich Motorway and the Logan Motorway runs just south. Kids travel to schools in Inala, Pallara, Forest Lake or Durack, and the CBD is 20.7 km away.
With the population more than doubling since 2011, many roofs are newer and unshaded on family homes, which makes adding panels straightforward and leaves room for a battery later.
