Solar panels in Willawong, installed properly
A family solar company that measures your roof, explains the numbers and installs it right the first time.
Why Willawong homes choose RS Energy for solar panels
Plenty of companies sell solar on price alone. We sell it on quality, because a system that is designed and installed well keeps paying you back for decades. Every Willawong quote starts with a free measure of your roof.
A typical 6.6kW system in Willawong makes about 27.7kWh a day on average across the year, while a 10kW system makes about 42kWh. Willawong is on the Energex network. Most homes can export up to 5kW per phase on a standard connection, and newer dynamic connections allow more. We size your inverter to get the most from those limits and lodge the Energex application for you.
Brisbane's southside covers older post-war suburbs like Annerley, Moorooka and Holland Park, the busy family areas around Sunnybank, Mansfield and Carindale, and newer pockets at Pallara and Forest Lake. Our solar panels work in Willawong also covers neighbouring Pallara, Doolandella and Durack, all within about 2km.

Willawong: a local snapshot
The Queensland Place Names Board created and named Willawong in 1970, using an Aboriginal word for the junction of two creeks. Four years later most of the suburb went under in the 1974 Brisbane flood. Residents fought sand mining proposals in 1983, and a toxic waste dump that once operated here was shut in 1998.
Oxley Creek and Blunder Creek trace most of the boundary, and the Sydney to Brisbane rail corridor runs down the east side. Only around 145 people live here. Land is taken up by a council resource recovery centre and the city's largest bus depot, holding over 200 buses on Sherbrooke Road, plus part of the 150 hectare Archerfield Wetlands. The CBD is about 17 km north by road.

Still unsure? Talk to us directly. You will speak with the people who do the work.
Call 0449 942 735How much does solar cost in Willawong?
Most Willawong homes pay between $4,800 and $7,000 for a quality 6.6kW system and $7,400 to $11,000 for 10kW, after the federal rebate. We give you a fixed price after a free on-site measure, so there are no surprises on install day.
What size solar system do I need in Willawong?
Look at your bill. Most families using 20 to 30kWh a day suit 6.6kW to 10kW. If you run pool pumps, ducted air or an EV, or plan to add a battery, 10kW to 13kW usually makes more sense. Energex export limits also shape the right inverter size.
Is solar still worth it with low feed-in tariffs?
Yes, if the system is sized for self-use. Every kWh you use from your panels saves you the full retail rate, which is far more than the few cents you get for exporting. Running dishwashers, pool pumps and hot water in the middle of the day makes a big difference, and a battery stretches it into the evening.
How long does installation take?
Most homes are done in a single day. We book the install once your network approval comes back, then arrange the meter change with your retailer.
Do you install solar on tile, tin and Klip-Lok roofs in Willawong?
Yes. We install on concrete and terracotta tiles, corrugated iron, Colorbond and Klip-Lok, with tilt frames where a flat roof needs them.
Do you service Willawong 4110 and nearby suburbs?
Yes. Willawong is part of our Brisbane Southside service area in the Brisbane City Council area, and we regularly work in Pallara, Doolandella, Durack, Inala. Call 0449 942 735 or request a quote online and we will reply within 24 hours.
