Solar panels in Holland Park West, installed properly
A family solar company that measures your roof, explains the numbers and installs it right the first time.
Why Holland Park West homes choose RS Energy for solar panels
Plenty of companies sell solar on price alone. We sell it on quality, because a system that is designed and installed well keeps paying you back for decades. Every Holland Park West quote starts with a free measure of your roof.
A typical 6.6kW system in Holland Park West makes about 27.7kWh a day on average across the year, while a 10kW system makes about 42kWh. Holland Park West is on the Energex network. Most homes can export up to 5kW per phase on a standard connection, and newer dynamic connections allow more. We size your inverter to get the most from those limits and lodge the Energex application for you.
Brisbane's southside covers older post-war suburbs like Annerley, Moorooka and Holland Park, the busy family areas around Sunnybank, Mansfield and Carindale, and newer pockets at Pallara and Forest Lake. Holland Park West: a local snapshot
Sixty-two lots of the Hill Farm Estate went under the hammer in 1914. Trams came up Logan Road to Holland Park in August 1926, and the Baptist church opened two years later. Marshall Road State School followed in 1960 and Holland Park State High School in 1971. Like its neighbour, the suburb owes its name to Julius Holland's subdivided land.
Squeezed between the Pacific Motorway and Logan Road, about 8.4 km from the city, it has its own station on the South East Busway. Heritage spots line Logan Road, including the Holland Park Hotel, Glindemann Farmhouse and an old tram shelter, with St Joachim's Church on Yuletide Street. Three schools sit here, including Nursery Road State Special School.

Solar panels in Holland Park West: questions
Still unsure? Talk to us directly. You will speak with the people who do the work.
Call 0449 942 735How much does solar cost in Holland Park West?
Most Holland Park West homes pay between $4,800 and $7,000 for a quality 6.6kW system and $7,400 to $11,000 for 10kW, after the federal rebate. We give you a fixed price after a free on-site measure, so there are no surprises on install day.
What size solar system do I need in Holland Park West?
Look at your bill. Most families using 20 to 30kWh a day suit 6.6kW to 10kW. If you run pool pumps, ducted air or an EV, or plan to add a battery, 10kW to 13kW usually makes more sense. Energex export limits also shape the right inverter size.
Is solar still worth it with low feed-in tariffs?
Yes, if the system is sized for self-use. Every kWh you use from your panels saves you the full retail rate, which is far more than the few cents you get for exporting. Running dishwashers, pool pumps and hot water in the middle of the day makes a big difference, and a battery stretches it into the evening.
How long does installation take?
Most homes are done in a single day. We book the install once your network approval comes back, then arrange the meter change with your retailer.
Do you install solar on tile, tin and Klip-Lok roofs in Holland Park West?
Yes. We install on concrete and terracotta tiles, corrugated iron, Colorbond and Klip-Lok, with tilt frames where a flat roof needs them.
Do you service Holland Park West 4121 and nearby suburbs?
Yes. Holland Park West is part of our Brisbane Southside service area in the Brisbane City Council area, and we regularly work in Holland Park, Tarragindi, Greenslopes, Mount Gravatt. Call 0449 942 735 or request a quote online and we will reply within 24 hours.
