Solar panels in Camp Hill, installed properly
A family solar company that measures your roof, explains the numbers and installs it right the first time.
Why Camp Hill homes choose RS Energy for solar panels
Plenty of companies sell solar on price alone. We sell it on quality, because a system that is designed and installed well keeps paying you back for decades. Every Camp Hill quote starts with a free measure of your roof.
A typical 6.6kW system in Camp Hill makes about 27.7kWh a day on average across the year, while a 10kW system makes about 42kWh. Camp Hill is on the Energex network. Most homes can export up to 5kW per phase on a standard connection, and newer dynamic connections allow more. We size your inverter to get the most from those limits and lodge the Energex application for you.
Brisbane's southside covers older post-war suburbs like Annerley, Moorooka and Holland Park, the busy family areas around Sunnybank, Mansfield and Carindale, and newer pockets at Pallara and Forest Lake. Our solar panels work in Camp Hill also covers neighbouring Carina Heights, Coorparoo and Holland Park, all within about 2km.
- Many Camp Hill homes are character Queenslanders and older workers cottages with corrugated iron roofs. Tin roofs are quick to mount on, and we keep conduit runs neat and out of sight on heritage-style facades.

Camp Hill: a local snapshot
German farmers Peter Schick and Kasper Klüpfel bought land here in 1859, and for a while the rise was called Schick's Hill. The current name comes from the Four Mile Camp Hill, a resting spot for drovers and travellers. Estates such as Coorparoo Heights and Mount Bruce Homesites were subdivided between 1916 and 1925, and the tram from Coorparoo reached the area in January 1925. In World War II a US Army hospital stood behind the Camp Hill Hotel.
Hills define this mostly residential suburb about 8 km south east of the city. Whites Hill climbs to 112 m, with a lookout and a large reserve that also hosts touch football fields, and Seven Hills Bushland Reserve borders it. Bowie's Flat Park has an artificial lagoon. Day to day shopping is at Camp Hill Marketplace, with boutiques along Old Cleveland Road and three schools close by.

Solar panels in Camp Hill: questions
Still unsure? Talk to us directly. You will speak with the people who do the work.
Call 0449 942 735How much does solar cost in Camp Hill?
Most Camp Hill homes pay between $4,800 and $7,000 for a quality 6.6kW system and $7,400 to $11,000 for 10kW, after the federal rebate. We give you a fixed price after a free on-site measure, so there are no surprises on install day.
What size solar system do I need in Camp Hill?
Look at your bill. Most families using 20 to 30kWh a day suit 6.6kW to 10kW. If you run pool pumps, ducted air or an EV, or plan to add a battery, 10kW to 13kW usually makes more sense. Energex export limits also shape the right inverter size.
Is solar still worth it with low feed-in tariffs?
Yes, if the system is sized for self-use. Every kWh you use from your panels saves you the full retail rate, which is far more than the few cents you get for exporting. Running dishwashers, pool pumps and hot water in the middle of the day makes a big difference, and a battery stretches it into the evening.
How long does installation take?
Most homes are done in a single day. We book the install once your network approval comes back, then arrange the meter change with your retailer.
Do you install solar on tile, tin and Klip-Lok roofs in Camp Hill?
Yes. We install on concrete and terracotta tiles, corrugated iron, Colorbond and Klip-Lok, with tilt frames where a flat roof needs them.
Do you service Camp Hill 4152 and nearby suburbs?
Yes. Camp Hill is part of our Brisbane Southside service area in the Brisbane City Council area, and we regularly work in Carina Heights, Coorparoo, Holland Park, Seven Hills. Call 0449 942 735 or request a quote online and we will reply within 24 hours.
