Solar panels in Kallangur, installed properly
A family solar company that measures your roof, explains the numbers and installs it right the first time.
Why Kallangur homes choose RS Energy for solar panels
Plenty of companies sell solar on price alone. We sell it on quality, because a system that is designed and installed well keeps paying you back for decades. Every Kallangur quote starts with a free measure of your roof.
A typical 6.6kW system in Kallangur makes about 27.7kWh a day on average across the year, while a 10kW system makes about 42kWh. Kallangur is on the Energex network. Most homes can export up to 5kW per phase on a standard connection, and newer dynamic connections allow more. We size your inverter to get the most from those limits and lodge the Energex application for you.
North Brisbane and Moreton Bay run from Albany Creek and Strathpine through North Lakes and Narangba to Caboolture and Bribie Island, taking in the Redcliffe Peninsula and acreage around Samford and Dayboro. Our solar panels work in Kallangur also covers neighbouring Murrumba Downs, Petrie and North Lakes, all within about 3km.

Kallangur: a local snapshot
Kallangur comes from the Kabi word kalangoor, described as a goodly or satisfactory place. In 1855 the land passed from Mrs Griffin of Whiteside to a son of Scottish migrant Thomas Petrie. Cobb & Co coaches travelled the old Gympie Road through here, and the suburb grew in the early 1900s as the main road route to the Redcliffe Peninsula, until the Hornibrook Bridge opened in the 1930s.
With more than 21,700 residents, Kallangur sits between the North Coast railway on the west and the Bruce Highway on the east, with Anzac Avenue as the main road. Kallangur station opened in 2016 on the Redcliffe Peninsula line. The memorial gate, bronze statue and gardens outside North's Leagues and Services Club are well known locally. Three primary schools serve the area.

Solar panels in Kallangur: questions
Still unsure? Talk to us directly. You will speak with the people who do the work.
Call 0449 942 735How much does solar cost in Kallangur?
Most Kallangur homes pay between $4,800 and $7,000 for a quality 6.6kW system and $7,400 to $11,000 for 10kW, after the federal rebate. We give you a fixed price after a free on-site measure, so there are no surprises on install day.
What size solar system do I need in Kallangur?
Look at your bill. Most families using 20 to 30kWh a day suit 6.6kW to 10kW. If you run pool pumps, ducted air or an EV, or plan to add a battery, 10kW to 13kW usually makes more sense. Energex export limits also shape the right inverter size.
Is solar still worth it with low feed-in tariffs?
Yes, if the system is sized for self-use. Every kWh you use from your panels saves you the full retail rate, which is far more than the few cents you get for exporting. Running dishwashers, pool pumps and hot water in the middle of the day makes a big difference, and a battery stretches it into the evening.
How long does installation take?
Most homes are done in a single day. We book the install once your network approval comes back, then arrange the meter change with your retailer.
Do you install solar on tile, tin and Klip-Lok roofs in Kallangur?
Yes. We install on concrete and terracotta tiles, corrugated iron, Colorbond and Klip-Lok, with tilt frames where a flat roof needs them.
Do you service Kallangur 4503 and nearby suburbs?
Yes. Kallangur is part of our North Brisbane & Moreton Bay service area in the City of Moreton Bay area, and we regularly work in Murrumba Downs, Petrie, North Lakes, Kurwongbah. Call 0449 942 735 or request a quote online and we will reply within 24 hours.
