Solar Panels Nobby Beach: local, honest, done right
Solar is a 25-year decision, so the panels, inverter and installation quality matter far more than shaving a few hundred dollars off the quote. RS Energy is a family-run solar company and we design every Nobby Beach system around your roof, your shading and your bills.
A typical 6.6kW system in Nobby Beach makes about 28.4kWh a day on average across the year, while a 10kW system makes about 43kWh. Nobby Beach is on the Energex network. Most homes can export up to 5kW per phase on a standard connection, and newer dynamic connections allow more. We size your inverter to get the most from those limits and lodge the Energex application for you.
The central Gold Coast takes in the high-rise strip from Broadbeach to Main Beach, the canal homes of Bundall, Benowa and Isle of Capri, and family suburbs like Ashmore, Nerang and Carrara. We look after Nobby Beach and the surrounding suburbs of Mermaid Beach, Miami and Mermaid Waters, so a free on-site measure in 4218 is easy to book.
- Being close to the water, Nobby Beach gets salt-laden sea breezes. We use corrosion-resistant racking, stainless fixings and panels and inverters rated for coastal sites, and we design to the local wind loading.

About Nobby Beach
Nobby Beach is the southern neighbourhood of Mermaid Beach rather than a suburb of its own. Real estate maps from around 1920 already showed estates such as Gem of the Pacific and Ocean View along this stretch. In 1962 the Magic Mountain attraction opened at Nobby Beach, and two surf clubs now patrol the wider Mermaid Beach shoreline.
Down at the southern end of Mermaid Beach, Nobby Beach sits on the ocean side with Miami just to the south. The Gold Coast Highway runs through, and the Oceanway walking path follows the coast. Nobby Beach Surf Life Saving Club patrols the sand here. There are no schools in the immediate area, so families use Miami and Broadbeach state schools nearby.

Solar panels in Nobby Beach: questions
Still unsure? Talk to us directly. You will speak with the people who do the work.
Call 0449 942 735How much does solar cost in Nobby Beach?
Most Nobby Beach homes pay between $4,800 and $7,000 for a quality 6.6kW system and $7,400 to $11,000 for 10kW, after the federal rebate. We give you a fixed price after a free on-site measure, so there are no surprises on install day.
What size solar system do I need in Nobby Beach?
Look at your bill. Most families using 20 to 30kWh a day suit 6.6kW to 10kW. If you run pool pumps, ducted air or an EV, or plan to add a battery, 10kW to 13kW usually makes more sense. Energex export limits also shape the right inverter size.
Is solar still worth it with low feed-in tariffs?
Yes, if the system is sized for self-use. Every kWh you use from your panels saves you the full retail rate, which is far more than the few cents you get for exporting. Running dishwashers, pool pumps and hot water in the middle of the day makes a big difference, and a battery stretches it into the evening.
How long does installation take?
Most homes are done in a single day. We book the install once your network approval comes back, then arrange the meter change with your retailer.
Do you install solar on tile, tin and Klip-Lok roofs in Nobby Beach?
Yes. We install on concrete and terracotta tiles, corrugated iron, Colorbond and Klip-Lok, with tilt frames where a flat roof needs them. Near the coast we use stainless fixings and corrosion-resistant racking.
Do you service Nobby Beach 4218 and nearby suburbs?
Yes. Nobby Beach is part of our Central Gold Coast service area in the City of Gold Coast area, and we regularly work in Mermaid Beach, Miami, Mermaid Waters, Broadbeach. Call 0449 942 735 or request a quote online and we will reply within 24 hours.
