Solar panels in Norman Park, installed properly
A family solar company that measures your roof, explains the numbers and installs it right the first time.
Why Norman Park homes choose RS Energy for solar panels
Plenty of companies sell solar on price alone. We sell it on quality, because a system that is designed and installed well keeps paying you back for decades. Every Norman Park quote starts with a free measure of your roof.
A typical 6.6kW system in Norman Park makes about 27.7kWh a day on average across the year, while a 10kW system makes about 42kWh. Norman Park is on the Energex network. Most homes can export up to 5kW per phase on a standard connection, and newer dynamic connections allow more. We size your inverter to get the most from those limits and lodge the Energex application for you.
Inner Brisbane is full of character: Queenslanders, workers cottages and townhouses on small lots in places like Paddington, West End, New Farm and Bulimba, where neat installs and careful panel layout matter. Our solar panels work in Norman Park also covers neighbouring East Brisbane, Seven Hills and Hawthorne, all within about 1km.
- Many Norman Park homes are character Queenslanders and older workers cottages with corrugated iron roofs. Tin roofs are quick to mount on, and we keep conduit runs neat and out of sight on heritage-style facades.

Norman Park: a local snapshot
Settlers arrived in 1853, and Louis Hope received a 40 acre grant a year later. Growth slowed after the 1893 floods. The name probably began as an estate name in the 1890s, tied to Norman Creek and Governor Henry Wylie Norman. A subdivision of 364 lots came in 1922, and public housing drove rapid growth after World War II, with homes not sewered until the late 1960s.
Norman Creek runs close by, and low lying ground was reclaimed in the 1940s and 1950s for parks and playing fields. It is mostly residential, 6.3 km east of the city by road. Norman Park station sits on the Cleveland line, and Norman Park State School has taught local kids since 1900. Heritage spots include Eulalia house and MacPherson's Outlook.

Solar panels in Norman Park: questions
Still unsure? Talk to us directly. You will speak with the people who do the work.
Call 0449 942 735How much does solar cost in Norman Park?
Most Norman Park homes pay between $4,800 and $7,000 for a quality 6.6kW system and $7,400 to $11,000 for 10kW, after the federal rebate. We give you a fixed price after a free on-site measure, so there are no surprises on install day.
What size solar system do I need in Norman Park?
Look at your bill. Most families using 20 to 30kWh a day suit 6.6kW to 10kW. If you run pool pumps, ducted air or an EV, or plan to add a battery, 10kW to 13kW usually makes more sense. Energex export limits also shape the right inverter size.
Is solar still worth it with low feed-in tariffs?
Yes, if the system is sized for self-use. Every kWh you use from your panels saves you the full retail rate, which is far more than the few cents you get for exporting. Running dishwashers, pool pumps and hot water in the middle of the day makes a big difference, and a battery stretches it into the evening.
How long does installation take?
Most homes are done in a single day. We book the install once your network approval comes back, then arrange the meter change with your retailer.
Do you install solar on tile, tin and Klip-Lok roofs in Norman Park?
Yes. We install on concrete and terracotta tiles, corrugated iron, Colorbond and Klip-Lok, with tilt frames where a flat roof needs them.
Do you service Norman Park 4170 and nearby suburbs?
Yes. Norman Park is part of our Inner Brisbane service area in the Brisbane City Council area, and we regularly work in East Brisbane, Seven Hills, Hawthorne, New Farm. Call 0449 942 735 or request a quote online and we will reply within 24 hours.
