Solar Panels Teneriffe: local, honest, done right
Solar is a 25-year decision, so the panels, inverter and installation quality matter far more than shaving a few hundred dollars off the quote. RS Energy is a family-run solar company and we design every Teneriffe system around your roof, your shading and your bills.
A typical 6.6kW system in Teneriffe makes about 27.7kWh a day on average across the year, while a 10kW system makes about 42kWh. Teneriffe is on the Energex network. Most homes can export up to 5kW per phase on a standard connection, and newer dynamic connections allow more. We size your inverter to get the most from those limits and lodge the Energex application for you.
Inner Brisbane is full of character: Queenslanders, workers cottages and townhouses on small lots in places like Paddington, West End, New Farm and Bulimba, where neat installs and careful panel layout matter. We look after Teneriffe and the surrounding suburbs of Newstead, Bulimba and New Farm, so a free on-site measure in 4005 is easy to book.

About Teneriffe
James Gibbon named his property after the Tenerife peak in the Canary Islands, which the local hill reminded him of. Land near Teneriffe House was cut into 30 lots in 1890. The first wool store opened in 1909 and the riverside wharves became Australia's largest submarine base in World War II. Teneriffe was swallowed by Newstead in 1975 before getting its own name back in 2010.
Less than one square kilometre in size, Teneriffe sits on the Brisbane River with Teneriffe Hill rising to 45 m. The big woolstores and old factories have been turned into apartments, making it mostly high density, while many Queenslanders have been restored. CityCat and cross river ferries stop at the wharf, and the Teneriffe Festival drew about 50,000 people in 2017.

Solar panels in Teneriffe: questions
Still unsure? Talk to us directly. You will speak with the people who do the work.
Call 0449 942 735How much does solar cost in Teneriffe?
Most Teneriffe homes pay between $4,800 and $7,000 for a quality 6.6kW system and $7,400 to $11,000 for 10kW, after the federal rebate. We give you a fixed price after a free on-site measure, so there are no surprises on install day.
What size solar system do I need in Teneriffe?
Look at your bill. Most families using 20 to 30kWh a day suit 6.6kW to 10kW. If you run pool pumps, ducted air or an EV, or plan to add a battery, 10kW to 13kW usually makes more sense. Energex export limits also shape the right inverter size.
Is solar still worth it with low feed-in tariffs?
Yes, if the system is sized for self-use. Every kWh you use from your panels saves you the full retail rate, which is far more than the few cents you get for exporting. Running dishwashers, pool pumps and hot water in the middle of the day makes a big difference, and a battery stretches it into the evening.
How long does installation take?
Most homes are done in a single day. We book the install once your network approval comes back, then arrange the meter change with your retailer.
Do you install solar on tile, tin and Klip-Lok roofs in Teneriffe?
Yes. We install on concrete and terracotta tiles, corrugated iron, Colorbond and Klip-Lok, with tilt frames where a flat roof needs them.
Do you service Teneriffe 4005 and nearby suburbs?
Yes. Teneriffe is part of our Inner Brisbane service area in the Brisbane City Council area, and we regularly work in Newstead, Bulimba, New Farm, Fortitude Valley. Call 0449 942 735 or request a quote online and we will reply within 24 hours.
