Solar Panels Waterford West: local, honest, done right
Solar is a 25-year decision, so the panels, inverter and installation quality matter far more than shaving a few hundred dollars off the quote. RS Energy is a family-run solar company and we design every Waterford West system around your roof, your shading and your bills.
A typical 6.6kW system in Waterford West makes about 27.7kWh a day on average across the year, while a 10kW system makes about 42kWh. Waterford West is on the Energex network. Most homes can export up to 5kW per phase on a standard connection, and newer dynamic connections allow more. We size your inverter to get the most from those limits and lodge the Energex application for you.
Logan blends established suburbs such as Springwood, Shailer Park and Browns Plains with new communities at Yarrabilba, Park Ridge and Logan Reserve, plus acreage through Jimboomba, Greenbank and Munruben. We look after Waterford West and the surrounding suburbs of Loganlea, Logan Reserve and Waterford, so a free on-site measure in 4133 is easy to book.

About Waterford West
John Cameron put land at Waterford North and South up for auction in April 1885, but houses only started appearing in the 1970s. A drive-in opened in 1974, the same year two homes were swept away in the floods while the bridge held. Waterford was divided in 1978, and Waterford West became a suburb in its own right in 1987, the year Marsden State High School opened.
The Logan River runs down the eastern side and part of the south, and Tygum Lagoon sits beside Waterford Plaza near the road bridge. Marsden State High School is here, and by 2024 it was the biggest high school in Australia by enrolment, with more than 4,000 students. Waterford West State School has run since 1976 and includes a special education program. Kingston Road carries traffic north.

Solar panels in Waterford West: questions
Still unsure? Talk to us directly. You will speak with the people who do the work.
Call 0449 942 735How much does solar cost in Waterford West?
Most Waterford West homes pay between $4,800 and $7,000 for a quality 6.6kW system and $7,400 to $11,000 for 10kW, after the federal rebate. We give you a fixed price after a free on-site measure, so there are no surprises on install day.
What size solar system do I need in Waterford West?
Look at your bill. Most families using 20 to 30kWh a day suit 6.6kW to 10kW. If you run pool pumps, ducted air or an EV, or plan to add a battery, 10kW to 13kW usually makes more sense. Energex export limits also shape the right inverter size.
Is solar still worth it with low feed-in tariffs?
Yes, if the system is sized for self-use. Every kWh you use from your panels saves you the full retail rate, which is far more than the few cents you get for exporting. Running dishwashers, pool pumps and hot water in the middle of the day makes a big difference, and a battery stretches it into the evening.
How long does installation take?
Most homes are done in a single day. We book the install once your network approval comes back, then arrange the meter change with your retailer.
Do you install solar on tile, tin and Klip-Lok roofs in Waterford West?
Yes. We install on concrete and terracotta tiles, corrugated iron, Colorbond and Klip-Lok, with tilt frames where a flat roof needs them.
Do you service Waterford West 4133 and nearby suburbs?
Yes. Waterford West is part of our Logan service area in the Logan City Council area, and we regularly work in Loganlea, Logan Reserve, Waterford, Bethania. Call 0449 942 735 or request a quote online and we will reply within 24 hours.
