Solar repairs and inverter replacement in Newstead
Inverter showing an error, or your bill suddenly jumped? We find the fault, fix it and tell you honestly whether repair or replacement makes sense.
Why Newstead homes choose RS Energy for repairs & upgrades
Inverters are the hardest working part of a solar system and most last 10 to 15 years. When one fails, your panels keep sitting in the sun but you get nothing from them. Many Newstead homes also have systems that were installed by companies no longer around.
We test the array, inverter, isolators and wiring, then give you a clear written report. If replacement makes more sense, we will quote a like-for-like inverter or a hybrid inverter that is ready for a battery.
Inner Brisbane is full of character: Queenslanders, workers cottages and townhouses on small lots in places like Paddington, West End, New Farm and Bulimba, where neat installs and careful panel layout matter. Our repairs & upgrades work in Newstead also covers neighbouring Bowen Hills, Teneriffe and Bulimba, all within about 1km.

Newstead: a local snapshot
Pastoralist Patrick Leslie built Newstead House in 1846, naming it after Newstead Abbey in Nottinghamshire, and it is now Brisbane's oldest surviving home. Industry later took over, with timber yards, an asbestos works, wharves and woolstores. A gasholder that first went up at Petrie Bight in 1873 still stands from the second gas works, and a rail branch served the area from 1897 to 1990.

Repairs & upgrades in Newstead: questions
Still unsure? Talk to us directly. You will speak with the people who do the work.
Call 0449 942 735How do I know if my solar system is faulty?
Common signs are an inverter showing a red light or error code, a blank screen during the day, a power bill that jumps without a change in usage, or monitoring that shows zero output on a sunny day.
Do you fix systems you did not install?
Yes. A lot of our repair work in Newstead is on systems from companies that have since closed. We work on all mainstream brands.
Should I repair or replace my inverter?
If the inverter is under warranty, we will help you claim it. If it is over 10 years old and out of warranty, replacing it is usually better value than repairing, and it is a good moment to consider a battery-ready hybrid.
How often should solar panels be checked?
Every two to three years is a good rule, or sooner near the coast where salt air is harder on fixings and isolators.
Do you service Newstead 4006 and nearby suburbs?
Yes. Newstead is part of our Inner Brisbane service area in the Brisbane City Council area, and we regularly work in Bowen Hills, Teneriffe, Bulimba, Fortitude Valley. Call 0449 942 735 or request a quote online and we will reply within 24 hours.
