Going solar in Deagon
Brisbane's northside ranges from the grand old homes of Ascot, Hamilton and Clayfield to family suburbs like Aspley, Chermside and Bracken Ridge and the bayside villages of Sandgate and Shorncliffe.
Brisbane covers everything from Queenslanders with tin roofs and tight inner-city lots to big brick homes in the southern and western suburbs. Every roof is different, which is why we measure and design each one on site.
Deagon is on the Energex network. Most homes can export up to 5kW per phase on a standard connection, and newer dynamic connections allow more. We size your inverter to get the most from those limits and lodge the Energex application for you.

Deagon: history and local area
William Deagon, Sandgate mayor from 1882 to 1884 and owner of the Sandgate Hotel, gave his name to the station when the railway came through in 1887, and the suburb took the name from there. A Baptist mission church opened in 1918 and the post office in 1947. Sandgate District State High School opened here in 1959, and the Ching Chung Taoist Temple was built in 1991.
Flat ground sits beside Cabbage Tree Creek, with the Boondall Wetlands just across the water and the 50-hectare Deagon Wetland of tea tree woodland. The Gateway Arterial runs along the western side. Deagon Racecourse is now a training facility, as racing stopped in 1941. Deagon station is on the Shorncliffe line, and the high school on Braun Street had over 1,000 students in 2017.
Flat, low-lying land near the creek and wetlands means flood planning is worth thinking about, so placing batteries and inverters high on a wall rather than on the ground is wise.
