Going solar in Boondall
Brisbane's northside ranges from the grand old homes of Ascot, Hamilton and Clayfield to family suburbs like Aspley, Chermside and Bracken Ridge and the bayside villages of Sandgate and Shorncliffe.
Brisbane covers everything from Queenslanders with tin roofs and tight inner-city lots to big brick homes in the southern and western suburbs. Every roof is different, which is why we measure and design each one on site.
Boondall is on the Energex network. Most homes can export up to 5kW per phase on a standard connection, and newer dynamic connections allow more. We size your inverter to get the most from those limits and lodge the Energex application for you.

Boondall: history and local area
Once called Cabbage Tree Creek, Boondall takes its name from an Aboriginal word that may mean crooked creek or refer to the cunjevoi plant. St Joseph's Nudgee College started here in January 1891, a Church of Christ chapel was built in 1916, and the state school opened in April 1925. The Brisbane Entertainment Centre opened in February 1986, putting the suburb on the concert map.
Cabbage Tree Creek forms the northern boundary, while the east is taken up by the Boondall Wetlands, more than 1,000 hectares of protected land with over 190 bird species. Around 20 parks are spread through the streets. The Entertainment Centre sits near Boondall station, Ice World is nearby, and the Gayatri Mandir temple occupies a former Anglican church.
Close to Moreton Bay and the wetlands, coastal air can be tough on metal fittings, so corrosion-resistant rails and fixings help a rooftop system last its full life.
