Going solar in Logan Reserve
Logan blends established suburbs such as Springwood, Shailer Park and Browns Plains with new communities at Yarrabilba, Park Ridge and Logan Reserve, plus acreage through Jimboomba, Greenbank and Munruben.
Logan mixes established family suburbs, fast-growing estates like Yarrabilba and Park Ridge, and acreage around Jimboomba and Greenbank. Big households and big air conditioning loads make solar and batteries pay back quickly here.
Logan Reserve is on the Energex network. Most homes can export up to 5kW per phase on a standard connection, and newer dynamic connections allow more. We size your inverter to get the most from those limits and lodge the Energex application for you.
- Plenty of Logan Reserve properties are on acreage, which opens up ground-mounted arrays, sheds and larger systems. Rural feeders also see more outages, so battery backup is popular here.
- Newer homes in Logan Reserve usually have clean, unshaded roofs and modern switchboards, which keeps installs quick. Estate covenants rarely restrict solar, but we check before we quote.

Logan Reserve: history and local area
The Logan Agricultural Reserve was thrown open to settlers in 1862, and cotton was the first crop planted. A bark church that doubled as a school went up in 1864 to 1865. The Catholic school was taken over by the government in 1875 and became Logan Reserve State School in 1914. Timber and farming kept people busy in the 1890s, with tobacco following in the early 1900s.
Most of Logan Reserve is acreage, with lots of roughly two to ten acres set among bushland, though a few suburban-style streets sit in the north. Homes come in all sorts of styles, from cottages and Tudor designs to western red cedar houses and country estates. Henderson Park is a local green space. The state school on School Road takes Prep to Year 6 and has a special education program.
Two to ten acre lots give room for a ground-mounted array away from shady trees, and big rural homes with pumps and outbuildings often need more capacity than a typical suburban system.
