Moodlu is on the Energex network. Most homes can export up to 5kW per phase on a standard connection, and newer dynamic connections allow more. We size your inverter to get the most from those limits and lodge the Energex application for you.
- Plenty of Moodlu properties are on acreage, which opens up ground-mounted arrays, sheds and larger systems. Rural feeders also see more outages, so battery backup is popular here.

Moodlu: history and local area
The locality takes its name from its railway station, from a Kabi word meaning stone. Wararba Provisional School opened around 1884 and took the Moodlu name in 1911 before closing in 1947. A receiving office handled mail from 1910, upgraded to a full post office in 1927 and closed in 1953.
Only 285 people live in this small rural locality, which straddles the D'Aguilar Highway. Caboolture Connection Road branches off here towards Caboolture, and the planned Bruce Highway Western Alternative is set to pass through north to south. The old school grounds on Williams Road are now home to the Caboolture Pony Club. Children travel to the Tullawong schools in Caboolture.
Rural blocks around Moodlu often have stables, sheds and bores, which make good homes for extra panels and give a reason to size a system for daytime pumping as well as household use.
