Going solar in Upper Caboolture

North Brisbane and Moreton Bay run from Albany Creek and Strathpine through North Lakes and Narangba to Caboolture and Bribie Island, taking in the Redcliffe Peninsula and acreage around Samford and Dayboro.

Upper Caboolture is on the Energex network. Most homes can export up to 5kW per phase on a standard connection, and newer dynamic connections allow more. We size your inverter to get the most from those limits and lodge the Energex application for you.

  • Plenty of Upper Caboolture properties are on acreage, which opens up ground-mounted arrays, sheds and larger systems. Rural feeders also see more outages, so battery backup is popular here.

Upper Caboolture: history and local area

Schooling here goes back to January 1878, when Camp Flat Provisional School opened. It became a state school in 1880, took the name Caboolture Upper in 1916 and shut two years later. For most of the following century this was farmland on the edge of Caboolture. Houses began spreading in from the 1990s, and in April 2023 big slices were carved off to form five new localities, including Waraba and Lilywood.

Part of the northern boundary follows the Caboolture River, and the planned Bruce Highway Western Alternative is set to run straight through from south to north. There are no schools inside the locality, so kids travel to Minimbah State School and Morayfield State High. The Uniting Church is one of the older community landmarks. Brisbane's CBD is a little under 48 km to the south.

As former rural fringe land, many blocks here are a bit roomier than inner suburbs, which leaves space for a larger roof array or a shed mounted system to cover pool pumps and air conditioning.
