Elimbah is on the Energex network. Most homes can export up to 5kW per phase on a standard connection, and newer dynamic connections allow more. We size your inverter to get the most from those limits and lodge the Energex application for you.
- Plenty of Elimbah properties are on acreage, which opens up ground-mounted arrays, sheds and larger systems. Rural feeders also see more outages, so battery backup is popular here.

Elimbah: history and local area
Before it had a proper name, this was The Six Mile, a camp where teamsters rested their horses and bullocks. When the North Coast railway came through in 1890, the stop was known by its distance, 36 miles 68 chains. Residents pushed for something better, and Elimbah became official in September 1902. The Kabi people knew the area as the place of the grey water snake.
This rural town covers about 100 square kilometres, with the Bruce Highway and the railway running side by side north to south. Three low peaks stand out: Round Mountain, The Saddleback and Tunbubudla, also called The Twins, at 296 metres. The state school dates from 1915 and the Soldiers Memorial Hall from 1922. Steve Irwin Way clips the north east corner.
Large rural lots around Elimbah give room for ground mounted arrays facing true north, though properties near the hills should check for early morning or late afternoon shading before choosing a spot.
