Going solar in Victoria Point
The Redlands coast runs from Capalaba and Birkdale through Cleveland and Victoria Point to Redland Bay and the Southern Moreton Bay Islands, with plenty of larger blocks around Mount Cotton and Sheldon.
Redlands homes face Moreton Bay, so salt air, sea breezes and the island communities all shape how we design and install systems from Capalaba to Redland Bay.
Victoria Point is on the Energex network. Most homes can export up to 5kW per phase on a standard connection, and newer dynamic connections allow more. We size your inverter to get the most from those limits and lodge the Energex application for you.
- Being close to the water, Victoria Point gets salt-laden sea breezes. We use corrosion-resistant racking, stainless fixings and panels and inverters rated for coastal sites, and we design to the local wind loading.

Victoria Point: history and local area
The local school started out in 1877 as Redland Bay Provisional School before taking the Victoria Point name in 1880, and a new building opened in 1916. Growth picked up through the 1980s and 1990s, with Redlands Lutheran Primary in 1982, St Rita's in 1993 and the state high school in 1997. The public library followed in 2006.
Facing Moreton Bay, with Eprapah Creek separating it from Thornlands, it is the jumping-off point for the ferry to Coochiemudlo Island. Thompson's Beach is shallow and safe for little ones, and the headland has two boat ramps plus a Volunteer Marine Rescue base. Three shopping centres, a cinema and lakeside restaurants cover daily needs, while Eprapah bushland hosts a Scout and Guide training centre.
Homes along the Moreton Bay shoreline see salty onshore winds, so coastal-rated racking and fasteners are a good call, and a battery adds peace of mind when storms roll in off the bay.
